after having seen fuel gameplay videos for the past 20 minutes, this one question is bugging me... do any of the cars/bikes actually have ANY grip on their tires, or are the maps just badly designed? cuz seriously, i havent seen a single race where someone runs through the entire track without drifting off the road

there are no crashes... you have a little damage gauge, the higher it gets the more your vehicle starts smoking and once you reach the limit the screen immediately fades black and you reset

yeah, it does... the problem is that the little gauge fills up too easily, even the smallest bump(and I'm talking like, real small, a little pebble on the road)will add to the gauge.

once it's full it doesn't matter what you hit and how hard, the the screen just fades black and resets you near to where you "crashed".

the only nice little detail really is that while you drive you'll see mud splatters clog up on your vehicle and eventually it'll be completely brown.

man...look how's the deal...here is a difference at full settings with a GTX 280 GTX 290 GTX 295 the FPS is max...no lag no shet.With a GTX 260,9900GT at max settings the game runs perfect...max setting no lag no shet but the graphics are different.The GTX 280 has 512 bytes and the 260 like 256 so it's a difference about the graphics...so Onesthedj12 think twice before post

but personally, Fuel sucked only in the regard that there could be some very wicked crashes and wipeouts....but arent.

It was fun racing around a tornado though, but the lack of crash killed it for me.

There are specific races that can last from 40 minutes to 4 hours, I found that bit of info on Fuel's website.

The only shitty thing is the sound/effects.

You can crash, however you dont fall of the bike and quad (so not like in Motorstorm)

This controls are very arcade (gas-brake-steer), but damn it all really looks great especially on places to overlook the landscape "Vistapoints" .

Because of the big map i thought that its boring you know, but there are alot of races, challenges, paint upgrades pickups, bonus cars hunt, vistapoints capture, clothing upgrades blablabla

Powerful Engines -> when shifting changes the engine speed / Injection -> too much fuel is injected -> not everything is burned in the engine -> fuel ignites in the hot exhaust -> flames from the exhaust

otherwise, if u just like racing games, its difficult :/

its a HUGHE world, and a lot of things to explore, but its starts beeing boring after 5 hours.

i recommend u should only buy this game if you're able to play it online (PSN, XBL).

Online is where the game begins to pwn ^^

I agree completely..however I read an interview from one of the Codemaster's dev team and they said that due to the harsh terrain, making the bike physics was very difficult because they didn't want people wrecking around every corner and jump...*shrugs* who knows..could be great, or could be an epic fail!
