The director clearly messes up the acting roles....... In the cartoon Sokka and Katara are the darker skinned ppl and the fire nation was..... You could say whiter.... He completely reversed it..... Furthermore, in the cartoon firebenders can CREATE their own fire...... They need to take it from torched or what ever......... No offense but he down graded the cartoon A LOT!!!!

Went to the midnight premiere of this movie. at the end when the credits where rolling there was complete silence..... then lots of booing. this was seriously the worst movie ever! which sucks b/c the show was one of the best ever. It reminds me of the episode of season 3 when they went to see the fire nation play about them and it was just a parody of their entire adventure.

@Xxfr33manxX the real storyline*spoler alert* in the cartoon... firebenders make fire using drive and determination and mostly, rage. ever since the avatar disappeared 100 years back, firelord sozin destroyed the dragons that taught firebenders to bend the true way and all firebenders in later generations learned to bend using rage. Zuko is destined to HELP the avatar, so his fire bending later on diminishes after he finds out his rage and drive to capture the avatar are gone.
well u see zuko and the fire nation along with the southern water tribe switched skin color at least now it makes since lol if u lived in the southern pole ur whole life u would be alot whiter and the fire nation should be much more tan in the cartoon than they are but w/e the casting for the movie is out of whack.... but i still cant wait to see the movie.... i hope the actors can make the directors mistakes work and bring the characters to life

MOST of the fire is being "bended" not made. in the show firebenders made fire from thier fists, feet, and mouth. this movie looks kinda eehhh but the action looks nice. gonna have to wait =(
I think that M. Night will not cram it because first of all not all episodes will be shown like the episode with King bumi. 2nd in the series there a lot childish episodes that will not be shown. And last don't just look at the trailer because its best to just watch the movie before criticizing it.
Momo will be in the movie, if you look at the casting the voice actor (or whatever it is he'll be doing) for Appa will also be doing the same for Momo.

The races of the characters in this film are different compared to the series.
The races of Sokka and Katara in the series is somehow a little dark right but if we will think; when I race lives in the south pole they must be white.
All I am praying for is that Aang has a cheerful, fun-loving persona and Sokka is his hysterical, sarcastic self. If they are able to portray that in the movie, then I am one happy camper :)
I am fan of the series from many years ago and I think this movie it's gonna be cool.
M.Night Shyamalan made the movie because of his daughter and he became fan of the series too. He is not going to disappoint his own daughter, I am sure he listened her and fans. He only made the changes needed to transform the cartoon series into a movie.
I also think it's a good idea only experienced and powerful firebenders are able to make fire by themselves.

mmm so zuko can´t generate fire. . . he needs a source so that means that he is an amateur and the firebenders who can generate fire withouth a source are more advance like uncle iroh and the firelord.

@Xxfr33manxX the real storyline*spoler alert* in the cartoon... firebenders make fire using drive and determination and mostly, rage. ever since the avatar disappeared 100 years back, firelord sozin destroyed the dragons that taught firebenders to bend the true way and all firebenders in later generations learned to bend using rage. Zuko is destined to HELP the avatar, so his fire bending later on diminishes after he finds out his rage and drive to capture the avatar are gone.

well u see zuko and the fire nation along with the southern water tribe switched skin color at least now it makes since lol if u lived in the southern pole ur whole life u would be alot whiter and the fire nation should be much more tan in the cartoon than they are but w/e the casting for the movie is out of whack.... but i still cant wait to see the movie.... i hope the actors can make the directors mistakes work and bring the characters to life

MOST of the fire is being "bended" not made. in the show firebenders made fire from thier fists, feet, and mouth. this movie looks kinda eehhh but the action looks nice. gonna have to wait =(

I think that M. Night will not cram it because first of all not all episodes will be shown like the episode with King bumi. 2nd in the series there a lot childish episodes that will not be shown. And last don't just look at the trailer because its best to just watch the movie before criticizing it.

The races of the characters in this film are different compared to the series.
The races of Sokka and Katara in the series is somehow a little dark right but if we will think; when I race lives in the south pole they must be white.

All I am praying for is that Aang has a cheerful, fun-loving persona and Sokka is his hysterical, sarcastic self. If they are able to portray that in the movie, then I am one happy camper :)

I am fan of the series from many years ago and I think this movie it's gonna be cool.
M.Night Shyamalan made the movie because of his daughter and he became fan of the series too. He is not going to disappoint his own daughter, I am sure he listened her and fans. He only made the changes needed to transform the cartoon series into a movie.
I also think it's a good idea only experienced and powerful firebenders are able to make fire by themselves.

at :40 , the debat is over. That is NOT Momo in between Sokka and Kitara. I've went fram by frame in Power Director and it is 100% Sokka's arm. So mom confirmation on Mom yet guys. But we did get confirmation on Appa!!!!!!

@robinclank2 But seriously, what is Zuko doing?! And yes I can now confirm that im not going to bother with this film. I was just checking up on the latest trailers in hopes that they may clear up my doubts, but from what i've seen this movie just isn't going to cut it for me! I've seen people write it as Katara or Kitara otherwise as a long term Avatar fan I would have realized by now that Katara is the correct spelling, however i'll take your word for it.

@Aaron2071 but in the show, zuko could make his own fire when he was a child! and he was HORRIBLE at firebending during that time! So not only masters can do it..basically if your a firebender..you can make your own fire! I just don't understand why most of the firebenders on the trailers have to use a source to firebend..that sucks!
