If anyone mentions Tarja on a new Nightwish video people say "Get a life", "Tarja's gone", "She's not coming back", etc. But they come here to talk about Anette. I simply can't understand.

I interpret the lyrics as follows: A man mourns deeply his dead love, is near to madness of grief, has suicidal thoughts ("drink snake´s venom"). Tarja´s interpretation is clinical. I would really like to hear Anette singing this song and I wish she could bring more emotion in it.
I have never heard a singer that transmits such emotion in her voice like Tarja does. She makes people cheer and sing at classic and opera concerts ffs..
The problem is that for a bad ear or an untrained ear, a cultivated voice is hard to digest, as opposed to a generic voice like Anette's.
Anyway - in this melody Tarja's voice is so processed that I had to listen until the end to convince myself it's her.

In FFY I would expect the singer to express his grief and longing, in the snake venom part even madness. I don´t know if Anette succeeded better than Tarja, but she has shown great versatility on Imaginaerum. Most female symphonic metal singers cannot express rough emotions, they are too cultivated.

Regarding Anette - there are thousands of PARODIES of her singing BTC and Once.
Love the bass in the beginning, Love the Guitars in the beginning, love Tuomas's parts, love the drums... love Tarja's voice and Great job Marco! This isnt just a band, its a special band. Every member was meant to live this project of Nightwish. Anette or Tarja, they both have advantages and disadvantages and yet their great. Anyhow, just saying, If anyone leaves the band, I will be PISSED. If Jukka left, I'll be pissed, then Emppu will be pissed, then he leave, then Tuomas leaves,you know :)
I agree with the people who say Anette could sing this song- because Tarja's voice isn't as classical as it usually is (it's a song open to many styles). However, Marco couldn't be replaced. The part he sings is perfect and I wouldn't change anything. My favorite part of the song.

I understand why you all are trying to stick up for Anette, but I think what people mean is that Anette isn't for Nightwish. I know she's a good singer but she's NOT FOR THAT BAND imparticular. She doesn't make Nightwish NIGHTWISH. When you mix a popsinger with Nightwish, it's just a wierd taste that makes my stumache twist...=\
NOTE: For the second time, i'm not trying to "diss" Anette. Drop your ignorance for two seconds and think about the reason why Anette just pisses some people off.
