I truly missSteve's work...

I saw the Thing prequel last night, horrible what they did with the CG "enhancements"...and just a bad movie in general.

Through out the movie I kept thinking what Steve would have come up with, the work he and his crew created is truly on the cutting edge....on par to Bottin.

That's why these video's are gold for no budget fx guys like me, it keeps the fire burning when Thing's let you down...

It's amazing how devoted Steve was even for a show like Stargate SG-1 who ultimately said "fuck it" and went for cheap with someone else.

The first tests are not using the same stomach as the final. The producers probably asked it to be changed after having the same reaction I did, "That is the grossest thing I have ever seen in my life next to the real thing." The painting is just flat-out incredible.

I hear what you are saying, and I subscribed quite awhile ago. I do like the Docu clips too, but I also love the behind the scenes tests, especially with close-ups on the mechanics and controlling mechs.

All of his vids are "Normal" in the sense that it is always weird and crazy. That's all I was saying, so calm down :)

I like the Docu type vids as well :) I think Steve should keep a good balance. I didn't realize it's been 7 months since a docu vid was released.
