  • んまそう~。

  • Looks great, but this chef seems so impatient than other chefs cooking it. Almost non stop flipping.

  • Part of the Kobe regimen involves massaging the cows to help integrate their fat and muscle into one delicious mass.

  • @CallistoAshus NO HOMO. but i want to try and massage some beef :O

  • look yummy

  • they feed the cows beer to make the meat quality tasty! true fact!

  • @TheSjpatrik yep, but i dont think it has any impact on the taste tbh. beer is mostly just alchohol, why would that make the meat better?

  • @MuayThaiViking beer give the cow a bigger apatite, making it want to eat more which will give the meat more fat

  • @nguye1r arrrrr.. whatever :)

  • 世界中の皆様に言いたいことがあります。

    有難うございます。

    Arigatou.

    Thank you very much.

  • Let the fucking steak cook! Don't need to touch it every 4 seconds.

  • wow, half of those moves were only for show, so pointless

  • We eat this at home all the time! Here in Australia you can buy it for $25 a kilo (2.2lbs) whole rump, and it has a marble score of 5-7. Fantastic on a flame grilled BBQ.

  • @barticus04 thats rump steak. this is kobe beef. your family and all of our families cant afford it.

  • @JusHere2PostComments Yeh...it's kobe rump! You can buy Kobe rib fillet $45 a kilo or eye fillet for $60 a kilo. It's not that expensive here!

  • @barticus04 thats totally different. those cuts arnt as high grade and tender. considering the guy down below said its $500 for half a kilo.

australia has the most wagyu cattle outside of japan so its cheap but isnt as high quality as the cattle from japan. kobe beef in japan is on a whole nother level. dont compare australias kobe to japans.

even though what your eating is alot better than what im eating here in nz. 10 a kilo piece of crap beef lol.

  • @JusHere2PostComments I bought the wagyu porterhouse once and it was melt in your mouth steak! It was grade 9 wagyu and I found it a bit too fatty for me personaly! I buy it from a chain of butcher stores here called Superbutcher. They buy it from the exporters in Australia that sell it to Japan, usually at a great discount because the Japanese company had to cancel the order for one reason or another! If you get over here, look them up and try it out! Superbutcher is on youtube too!!

  • @JusHere2PostComments Have a look at this vidoe on youtube! it's 2 years old but the prices havn't gone up much since then! Pay attention to the Wagyu section! The video is called ..... 'Andrew takes a tour of the Gourmet Beef Company "

  • @barticus04 i dont see how that is a good reply to what i said ?

  • @JusHere2PostComments Well like you said we have alot of kobe/wagyu, but like I said we export it to Japan, there-fore it has to be of good quality otherwise they wont except it! The brand we buy is Kobe-506 which is exported to Japan! So wether its rump, porterhouse or fillet, its sensational!

  • @barticus04 yeah australia does have sum good wagyu but they got bout 100,000 wagyu where as japan has alot less and the japanese from what ive heard. hire people to massage everyone of the cattle. i just dont see australia pampering their cattle like that.

  • @JusHere2PostComments Your right...we couldn't be bothered getting off our arses to massage a cow lol, but it's still the best meat I have ever eaten! If you ever get over here to Brisbane, do yourself a favour and go to Superbutcher and grab some ( no I dont work for the company , it's just the place were I buy it from )

  • @barticus04 yeah haha pampered or not. your meat is still by far a lot better compared to the meat in new zealand. yeah i can do that if there's one in sydney. might be going there to work soon.

  • @JusHere2PostComments Good luck with that!

  • lol, when this was going I just imagined a father turning to his son and saying "Son, this here is Kobe beef. It is VERY expensive, so for every crumb you leave I will beat you savagely for one day straight. Enjoy!".

  • @iratebeaver29 where's the punchline? i dont follow

  • most of the world eats very low quality beef. If you put wagyu next to prime angus most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference because of how their pallets are conditioned. I personally like Angus better because Wagyu can get really fatty. I actually like lower quality wagyu because it's leaner and you get more meat.

  • @FuriousPumpkin Don't forget that a lot of people would actually think something is just better by looking at the price ;)

  • unghhhhh ghhhghhhghhh UNGHHHGHHHHHGHGHGHGHHHH SO hard for shitty chink book faggot meat. want to knwo why it is so tender? because stupid chinks cant find the right hole to go fuck their knobsucking faggot cows. they just ram their tiny wangs into every part of the cow until one of them gets off.

  • @valdezmiguel2

    tipikal ignorant spick

  • @valdezmiguel2

    that didn't make any sense.

  • i thought that when you cook steaks you dont continue to turn it like that, like you leave it for awhile then turn once..idk..

  • over hyped marketing.

  • damn that chef is fast and skilled

  • shit you must be rich to afford that stuff

  • i got a Kobe burger for 15.99 at a local restraunt it was obviously not real Kobe tasted like shit.

  • oishikatta yo

  • I heard that beef is like 50% fat.

  • I heard your mom fucked a horse.

  • Aren't you lovely.

  • Your daddy seems to think so.

  • Are you like, twelve? Making "your mom" jokes...

  • Yes. I'm 12 years old and what the hell is this?

  • This video? Uh, it's like this Japanese beef that I heard about in my environmental science class. Apparently it has a pretty high fat content and it's bad for people.

  • @lesleyhenriquez food -_-

  • i think the chef has OCD

  • lol

  • more!!!!

  • how you gonna tel the difference between Wagyu and Kobe beef ??

  • It's the same.

  • @sabacone is the marbling for wagyu and Kobe the same? like, the same spectrum of Marbling

  • @htfluvr13

    lol

    I dunno

but how can you tell over this video ??

  • Comment removed

  • This is the best beef in the world.

    It's a bit of a big deal.

    @ $500/lb

  • @Huba588 could buy a whole fukin cow for the same price... some ppl are nuts.

  • True, but some there are those who are rich and those who consider this a REALLY special treat.

I am the latter, though I have yet to try it.

  • @Huba588 That expensive? That would be roughly 200,000 pesos per pound!!! wow for a food that expensive it should be MUCH delicious!

  • Go back to your McDonalds and Burger King then.

  • Holy shit! That is some seriously cool handwork! It's like martial arts meets cooking!

  • That is essentially correct!

  • The fuckin Yanks should learn how to raise this type of cattle, then they would'nt be crying about how expensive it is. But then, the YANKS know everything there is about raising cattle, so the YANKS should have the best beef. NOT!!!!! It's not the type of product, It's the type of care that goes into the product. QUALITY RULE'S!!!

  • You would be much more convincing if you didn't keep using the term Yank. Not only that, you used it 3 times and used all caps twice. It's funny, because your message is completely obvious, quality over quantity. What's next, will you preach to YouTube how the grass is green and the sky is blue? You sound like a typical arrogant British piece of shit, but your profile says US, so I don't even know what to think.

  • You said it yourself, you don't even know what the hell you're thinking you stupid piece of shit!!! How long did it take you to determine how many times the word YANKS was used if you don't even know what you're thinking!!! Know wonder your mom and dad called you son, you're so BRIGHT!!!

  • Do you even speak English? That comment sounds like it was fed through a wood chipper.

  • Yank or not. what alltoyz is saying IS convincing and true.

  • Americans are already producing Wagyu(kobe) and crossbreeds of Wagyu and Angus. So what alltoyz is saying is neither convincing nor true.

  • They are not producing Kobe beef! it's Kobe style beef, they don't care for the cattle nor feed it right and also they are crossbreeds so it isn't Wagyu anymore

  • I said Wagyu. I put Kobe in parenthesis because everyone was calling it Kobe on this video. There are some ranches that produce pure Wagyu, but most produce crossbreeds with Angus because it's easier to raise in North American climates; and Americans aren't used to such heavy marbling of pure Wagyu. Get it right. As for what the cattle are fed or how they're treated, I can't comment, I'm not a rancher.

  • Comment removed

  • There are no Wagyu cattle in the US only Wagyu style

  • You're confusing Wagyu with Kobe. Kobe beef is Wagyu cattle from Kobe, Japan. If the cattle have 15/16th's Wagyu genetics, then it's a purebred Wagyu. But since it wasn't born, raised and slaughtered in the Kobe region of Japan, it's 'Kobe style,' but not true Kobe. Only a true connoisseur could tell the difference between Australian or American Wagyu and Kobe Wagyu. Just look it up.

  • To be called Kobe beef it has to be from the Tajima cattle and to be raised in the Hyogo Prefecture, Wagyu are a number of cattle breeds in Japan, pure Wagyu or Kobe beef has to come from Japan to be called Wagyu

  • Comment removed

  • What's your point. America has the Tajima breed as well. It's just much harder to find than Tottori or Kumamoto. It's not like it matters. You, me and everyone we know would never be able to tell the difference.

  • There are no pure Wagyu breeds in the US only crossbreeds

  • Comment removed

  • You lived in Japan for 3 years? What does that have to do with Wagyu beef in America?

Also, I could just as easily say I lived in Japan for 10 years. Unless your words are substantiated, they mean shit on the internet.

Let me remind you, your earlier post completely confused the definition of Wagyu with Kobe.

Even your most recent post said there is no pure Wagyu in America, which is a complete lie. Seriously, just give the fuck up. You're not fooling anyone.

  • You were saying that i didn't anything about Wagyu because of my nationality to which i responded saying that i lived in Japan for 3 years, i know very mcuh about the culture in Japan and very much about Japanese cuisine

  • Because pure Wagyu can only be found in Japan

  • Aliens are real, they are going to take over the world one day

  • @bergurking No we arent. At least not this decade.

  • @tnc420sucks Americans will always emulate the things they want, just like China does. But to suggest America produces the same quality Kobe beef as Japan.. Well, that's what makes you American, you have no idea....

  • @tnc420sucks Oo That is the american style beef, its darker and has a bolder texture. Cheaper as well. So what alltoyz said is half true.

  • @tnc420sucks Not all Wagyu are Kobe.

  • @xGoC No shit.

  • @tnc420sucks Kobe beef is more of a technique of raising the cow rather than the breed. While the US may have Wagyu, the technique for raising it is probably different.

  • @tnc420 British peice of shit?i dnt care how long ago that post was but saying things like are well out of order.ure almost as bad as the geezer who was antagonising you. We're not all bad you know, same as you Americans. Its just the select few who are arseholes

  • who the fuck are the "yanks"

  • Timerider - The point of cooking beef over charcoal (not an open flame) is to impart an additional level of flavor to the meat. Smoking meat with wood adds another element.

Kobe beef is already so rich with the intricate marbling of fat and of the breed, The flat tops' only purpose is to provide heat. It is the purest method used to cook meat and preserve flavor.

  • Do they serve the beef with the chunks of fat ? or is that just to flavor the meat and not to eat ?

  • why would they serve it with chunks of fat? I think they use lard to grease the burner but they don't serve that with the meat.

  • kobe beef is Japanese dumb shit

  • Wow! look at the speed!

  • beef is fucking expensive in japan!

but most jap foods there are really cheap...depends where you go

  • Kobe beef is very delicious!

    But, a wallet becomes desolate.

  • mayadaaa

  • how much does it cost in china?

  • i'm chinese , theyr 38xx dollars in hk

  • This is very bad. I can feel my mouth filling with water and i realize i'm in US. And closest kobe beef i can sink my tooth is Lucky Devil's 16+ kobe beef burger and even that is not as good as it used be...

  • Hmmm? hey dude there's a website called kobe beef america they've got stuff there.

  • wonder how much it cost in the US.. I heard its actually a mixed breed but still good though..

  • It is not the breed that matters it is the method. In the US we would call it Grain fed beef in US Agriculture Programs like 4h and FFA raise beef on Par with KOBE.

I just don't understand. KOBE is supposed to be Ichi Ban! The Very Best! Yet every video I see they cook it on an Iron flat grill! This is nuts, open flame from gas or wood imparts so much to meat. At $500 a pound it seems much like drinking "Dom" from a paper cup.

Hibachi is Japanese no? Cook this stuff over a wood fire folks.

  • I see and :0 yeah its good with charcoals and woods really brings out the flavor of meat. I wonder if it good to marinade it with soy sauce and herbs does it mask the beef flavor?? $500 a pound sounds reasonable :/ Hope it become cheap over time

  • I've had wagyu beef raised in Japan, in Australia, and Oklahoma. I'd say it's the breeding far more than the feeding.

The Japanese never had a lot of pasture land available, so they were very careful about which cattle they chose to breed.

  • thanks! i'll check it out!! oh, no. i can't cook where i live...

  • looks good

  • This was possibly the best melt-in-your-mouth beef I've ever tasted

  • I think Chinese beef would be the poisoned and crappy for obvious reasons...

  • free lead!! no, lead free.

  • this is the best beef in the world doubt it would be poisoned

  • isnt that stuff like 80 quid for 2 mouthfulls or something? Amd they massage the cosws and give them beer.

  • I think the Mr Chef is doing a little too much!

  • that looks good

  • Sweet, I think I ate at that resturant when I was in Kobe! I remember it was really small and cramped.
