Its tough to teach someone the melodies, because its something that just comes with time. As for me, i can sort of hear the melody in my head before i put it down on Fl studio. Sometimes, you could even hum the melody and use FL to extract that onto the piano roll. But i also think alot of these stuff comes by accidents. The more the accidents, the more you make better melodies :)
Well it all depends on what sounds good to your ears. If it sounds off key, you would know. Trust me. Plus it also helps if you know some music theory. Try looking at nfx's channel. He has some very good tutorials on chords, scales and stuff.
@305kubanboii YOU NEED TO LEARN MEASURES TIMING SCALES AND READING MUSIC. get familier with how a piano is layed out. imprint each note in your brain. make melodies in your head. play them out on the midi keyboard. thats how i like to do it anyway
