  • In the description u said u have the m 1k sound system. Could u explain how u mounted the brakets 4 the 10 in subs? Could u specifically address the studs that the subs attach 2. How did u set them up? Did u weld them in? Did u cut holes in the trunk & run them in from under the car? Please explain as best u can.

  • @BlindMansRevenge2002

I didnt use the enclosures that the subs came in. I had to make my own to fit in the trunk of my notch. What I did was fiberglass in the spare tire well and it provided about 1.0cuft each, enough airspace for the subs to work. So the the subs were firing up instead of towards each other. I no longer have them installed. Someone offered me more then I paid for the entire setup for the amp rack and the subs, so I sold them.

  • Very nice swap. Im in the process of building a 88 lx 5.0. Planing on tucking/hiding all wires from under the engine bay, and much more.

  • Dam thats impressive.

  • How much would you charge to do a dash swap? Lol. I don't have a dash in my project

  • unique, very cool

  • nice clean swap, I haven't see this done before, and I have seen 1000's of fox bodies.

  • I just bought a 1988 notchback, and it has a 1994 gt dash with 2001 Terminator gauges. Nothing works as far as the gauges go. Any ideas where I can get info on doing this. Great job by the way your car is awesome!

  • @souschefbubba

you will need 94-95 5.0 gauges for anything to work. You will also have to change the cluster connectors out to make them work also. 99% of the wires are the same color so it is a dieect swap. As for the Speedo in the 94-95 cluster you will have to tap into the VSS on the trans to make it work. This is very vague I know, but this isnt the best forum to explain things....

  • The dash came out real nice. How long did it take you to convert it over? I have the convertible that me and my dad restored from scratch.

  • @1nfam0uz1

All in all I have 2 years in this.

To do another one it would probably take me a weekend to get the dash mounted, and another 12 or so hours to do the wiring and making the nessessary mods to the HVAC box to keep the A/C and heat functional. I would recomend doing a 94+ HVAC box and getting a Evaporator made that will use the Fox A/C lines.

No, it isnt a direct fit. Had to do alot of cutting where the dash meets the windshield. I also cut out the firewall where the steering column and pedals go into the engine bay and grafted in the spherical bearing and master cylinder mount from the 2001 GT donor car. The Hvac box was an almost direct fit only haveing to have a custom A/C evap made using the SN95 core and the fox connections. Wiring was not as bad as one would think. I used an entire vehicle harness from a 1993 GT

  • And if you use the 94-95 mustang instrument cluster connectors the colors are 99% the same as the fox, making the instrument cluster work. I used one from a 95GT. The headlight wires are the same colors, just a different switch. The turnsignal wires are the same colors, and the only hard thing that i had to attened to was the wipers. I used the fox motor, 95 V6 wiper controller and a 95 V6 wiper switch assembly, and a TON of head scratching. I can go on and on and on, sorry.... email me...

  • Is a 2001 dash pretty much a direct fit in foxbodies?

  • @jack15501

ahhhh.... no... takes alot of mock-up, cutting and building of brackets....

  • Love the dash..thumbs up!
