  • I read more about this tank from a book recently published by US Naval Institute Press. The author was a former military intelligence officer who defected to the West. The tank being lightly armoured is not meant to breach fortified defences but to penetrate deep into enemy hinterland once the breakthrough is effected.

  • @karunamaya Thanks for your comment, I guess the Russian army well use this tank in Khalkhin Gol and penetrate deep into enemy hinterland.

  • nice one 5*

  • Sadly the Americans chose not do deal with J Walter Christie and went on the develop the Sherman tank. To think, we could have had one of the best tanks in the up coming war. The T-34. Bunch of dumb asses.

  • Might one ask what the music is called?

  • @lulle103 It is called " The Overture" from a sound track : The Film Music of William Alwyn, Vol. 2

  • i wish they were advanced even furthur than bt-7

  • @SovietUnion100 they did. T-34 was the next step from BT-7...

  • @9antsa6 well yah, but i mean the BT series not the T series

  • BT-5s were well used in Khalkin gol. Zhukov had the right strategy.

However at an earlier battle at Lake Khasan 1938, they were poorly used.
