  • when favre broke dannys records he was in his 17th season but had played more games than marino. marino missed almost all of the 93 season and part of the 95 season. marino only had one 1000 yard rusher in his whole career. thats just crazy.

  • There is no question about Dan Marino. A fantastic quarterback

  • Only If he would have had a better running game and recievers he would have gotten a ring. Makes me mad cheating losers like Brady have 3 and Marino never got one..

  • Simply a great QB.

  • took farve 20 years to beat dan marino when he played for 17 but doesnt have as much int has farve

  • @7SEVEN7SEVEN7SEVEN7 Actually it took Favre 17 as well. He already had all of Marino's passing records by the end of his 17th Season. And his 1st NFL season he was with the Falcons and didn't not complete a single pass.... so he actually beat all of Marino's records in 16 seasons.

  • @jeffbrister2004 actually your wrong marino last season he didnt play much and the year before that he had an injury to his foot or whatever it was and year before that he miss a few games cuh of his knee problem maybe you should look it up son and no thats not true it took farve 18 seasons look it up bro.

  • @7SEVEN7SEVEN7SEVEN7 how did it take him 18 seasons? I DID look it up. He had the records for passing yards, passing touchdowns, passing attempts, and total victories after his last season with Green Bay. that was his 17th season.

  • @jeffbrister2004 Farve got his records during a time in the NFL where any good QB can get 4000yds an d30 tds. Back when Marino was getting 4000+yds and 40+tds it was ONLY him. From 1999 on, when the rules made it easier for the passing game, you had Farve, Manning, Brady, Warner, Breese, Rivers, Rodgers, McNabb, CULPEPPER, Palmer, Bulger, and some other 30td 4000yd QBs I can't remember.

THAT's why Farve has the records now, because he played at the most opportune time to be a QB.

  • @filthyswit while i agree that Favre, Manning , Brees, and all the current quarterbacks are playing in a very pass happy league these days.... i disagree that Marino was the only one passing for +4000 yards during his era. In 1990 Warren Moon passed for almost 1000 yards more than Marino. 91 he passed for 700 more yards than Marino. In 94 Elway and Steve Young both passed for 4000. In 95 4 qb's passed for over 4000 yards and none of them were Marino.

  • @filthyswit In 96 3 qb's passed for +4000. In 97 he was 3rd in passing yards behind george and favre. in 98 marino was 7th in passing yards. Dan only lead the NFL in Passing Yards during his career were the 86, 88 and 92 seasons. So while he was a beast and carried Miami on his back all those years... it wasn't like he was standing head over heels above everyone in passing yards every year like you implied.

  • @jeffbrister2004 Dan lead in 84 and 85 as well...you'll recall that in 84 he set the yardage record which stood for 27 years...

  • @MrTeatreeoil Yeah, look at all of tom brady's rings....then look how they cheated and got away with it. Rings don't always mean greatness. You can be the greatest football quaterback ever but if you don't have someone graceful enough to catch the ball, then what good does it do you? Marino outclassed every quarterback then and now.

  • some people don't know anything about football..

IT TAKES A WHOLE TEAM TO WIN A SUPERBOWL...

every single player has to do its part....

Dan never had a team around him, but still managed to break records... thats what seperates the Good and THE GREATEST... Joe Montana had everyone on his team .... thats why he has 4 rings !!! Period.

  • people forget how clutch Marino was in the 4th qtr. the game was never over no matter what the score was with time left on the clock and the ball in marino's hands. Marino still holds the record of 51 overall wins decided in the 4th quarter/overtime.

  • Marino was a legend, why bash him!!!! The greatest arm the NFL ever seen!!!

  • Hey Ace....ya got any more of that gum??

  • he looks kinda nervous

  • again....carter.....go fuck yourself!!!

  • Dan "The Man" Marino made my football watching fantastic.

#13 was one of the greatest quarterbacks ever:D

  • Actually, they're all pretty close. The only one he really "crushed" was the # of Int's.

  • hahahah good one bretts terriblle the only reason why he has those records is cause hes been playin 4ever!

  • Who cares and at least he wasn't completly color blind like Farve.

  • Most carrer interceptions of all time. Marino can't be considered the greatest of all time just because he wasn't on a TEAM good enough to win a Super Bowl? If you're going to say he's just a bride's maid, at least spell it correctly.

  • He brought more teams that had no business being in the playoff's than anybody else in the history of the game, that alone make's him one of the greatest. Add in that he set all those indivdual passing records with some of the worst talent amassed on offense, and that just makes him the greatest of all time.

  • @MrScottydabody what team do you root for so we can critque them here in this forum and tear them down to size for you?

  • @MrScottydabody Good Lord. How much common sense does it take to realize that the quareterback isn't the entire team. If your team is lacking in places, then he can't carry it all on his shoulders. Jimmy Johnson tried too hard to get a running game going instead of investing in good receivers. Don't blame Marino for the rest of the team. Do you really think Joe Montana woudl have won all those times without Jerry Rice? Get real. Let's tear your team down & critque them now. Who do you root for?

  • @MrScottydabody Where the fuck did you come up that 'rule'? Btw, you used to root for the Dolphins? Well fuck you, phony bandwagon fan.

  • For someone who hates Marino, you sure enjoy posting on a video dedicated to him a lot. Also I wasn't aware Marino is responsible for mediocre defense as well, hmmm...

  • @hungey

i do not dislike dan marino, he was a very good quater back. he took throwing the football to a whole new level.

  • bob griese ruined himself at 5:55 haha

  • hahaha shut up dick.

  • the best QB ever. striking fear in defense, not taking sh*t from anyone (esp. his players), leader, and confidence. playing nearly handicap. no superbowl. so what. BEST QB.

  • This night is so synonymous with his career... great accolades, but always overshadowed with dark clouds / stormy weather. Every game where he broke a career record, he lost. The Super Bowl, foggy weather, lost. The only thing that turned out really really well was his HOF Induction: at least all was well with that.

  • GO DOLPHINS!!!

Nobody played QB like Marino did. Marino did it in style, with swagger, with flash. He made the QB position "cool" The greatest ever in my books.

  • Brett Favre broke Dan Marinos record, the Dolphins broke Brett Favre, Playoffs Baby
