  • First of this is a exellent song, this particular version is a good performance, Edge's contribution is exellent. U2 Are an awesome band Johnny Cash Was one of the all times greatest performing artist.

But the Cash U2 version is the best.

  • Jesus Christ, what a shit is that? Please delete that motherf ... boring video. Immediately please. Thank you!

  • @Wollenschrank GTFYS

  • I miss the days when the Edge used to wear cowboys hats instead of Beanies, still legendary though

  • So great!

  • WAH WAH WAH WANDERING! The Edge is awesome.

  • I love U2 but you can't replace Johnny Cash.

  • and instead of "I was sure I was the one" he says " i was hoping i was the one". everyone only notices the gun part. But that just shows you are not a true fan and you don't know the original lyrics or what Bono is doing with them in this song which, although he wrote, he is now doing as a tribute to Johnny.

  • I prefer the original lyrics.

Particularly "with a bible, and a gun..."

And..."I went out for the papers, promised I'd be back by noon".

  • amazing... amazingggggg. oh and did joaquin say "the wonderer" .... hmmmm i wonder?

  • @Kateybrown2 he changed a lot of the lyrics from the original but it is not because of 'peace'.

  • the edge....really... beautiful voice...great tune

  • cash sang it better

  • lol The Edge has such a beautiful voice.

  • great to hear this song live!

    they dont play it often.

  • U2 is perfection in music. No one can ever replace them.

  • veramente bella!una perla!

  • Does anyone know if this tribute concert is on d.v.d?

  • AWSOME

  • This is such a beautiful tribute to Johnny Cash. I enjoyed watching it.

  • nice tribute but the original vocal is much better,

this song is just too cool to be messed with

  • nothing can be compared to the voice of Johnny Cash

  • And circle is complete....

  • U2, Johnny Cash, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones The Best this world had to offer

  • @meanmachine210 Right,but dont forget Elvis.

  • @Simoneleipzig and Elvis ho could i forget

  • @meanmachine210 The Beatles are bollox!!! imo

  • @lm035 ok

  • Great, real great! our dear Mr Johnny cash would be honored! But i want to know which consert this is??

  • @LSvea i dont believe it was a concert, but a television tribute to Johnny Cash

  • Edge has a really nice voice, Im amazed we don,t hear more of him-not just doing backup vocals.

  • The edge should sing more!!!!

that voice is just too beautiful

  • super!

    U2 the best ever!

  • cud have definetly gone w/o the "wa wa wa wa wandering". messed up the song in my book. i dont think johnny wud have liked it either lol

  • @theunderdog724

You need to learn to appreciate a pure falsetto like his!

It added to the song IMO.

  • Johnny Cash has been one of the best musicians of alll times. I''m happy that he feautured U2:it's a good result

  • Beautiful.

  • So happy to see this tribute from a band I adore about a man I deeply respect

  • im so happy tht johnny cash and u2 came together to make this song it was just perfect!

  • amazing music , only u2 could write such a classic!

  • I like the Edge's wah-wah-wah-wonderin' vocals. I think it adds to the 50's feel of the song.

  • @wesott11 Well this song was made by U2 and originally Bono was ment to sing it. But at some point Bono insisted that he wanted Johnny to sing it. U2 are epic, no one will ever be as great as them. :)

  • @wesott11 I agree about the falsetto bit, it reminds me of Runaway by Del Shannon ("I wa wa wa wa wonder, why she ran away..."). I think that's where he got it from. It doesn't suit this song imo.

  • The Edge has great vocal control here!!!

  • Bono and Edge wrote the song... I think they're entitled to do what they like. Besides, Edge is the best falsetto in the business.

  • great perfoemance from the edge here!

  • This is a gutwrenchingly prophetic video of whats happening in our world today, bu great artists.

  • Miami is a great tune, so I'm sure that extreme is a fond of the guys ofrom mount temple

  • Edge is a great singer, so is Bono but what Edge doesn't really have to Bono is that Bono has hard soul when he sings, he has power.

  • Actually BrokenChair88 still does it every now and then i saw a Pink Floyd video about a week ago and he wrote it about a few days after the video was posted.

  • edge is the 4th bee gee

  • @extreme67 - just so everyone knows - this guy thinks he's being really clever writing "U2 wrote Miami" on every U2 video but actually he's just copying off another annoying prick who used to write 'Pink floyd wrote "dogs" on every floyd video on youtube years ago.. so well done - very original dickhead....

  • AMAZING, the best band of all time, no 1 could ever come close to these guys, every performance they do is spot on. 5 stars every time

  • edge wtf was that?

  • i personally like bono singing the song better

  • deep lyrics, love it tho, brings a slight tear to the eye

  • Flame me if ya like, but this is the first time I heard Bono sing since 1989 and thought, fucking class!

  • pure class BONO is god with green blood

  • bono's voice ALWAYS surprises me. In "the hands that built american" i was like wtf, because I had thought the high part was done by the edge or someone else. In this song, i just did not think bono could do it, and once more I stand sorely corrected. With tunes like "Bad" and "with or without you", I don't know why i get surprised, but bono, you always please my eardrums every time I hear something new. :)

  • It's a U2 song that they recorded with Cash singing it. C'mon dude, everybody knows that. Cash loved the U2ers. Check out U2's album,"ZOOROPA". You'll find Johnny there.

  • This song was played well by the WHOLE band! I don't think Edge, "saved" anything. It was just a typical U2 performance. Even though U2 wrote this song and let Johnny record with them backing him....I actually like this version better. It's more rock-n-roll.

  • are you crazy??? this song was writen by bono and johny only sing in zooropa album

  • Bono sure don't play that geetar much.

  • help me

  • fantastic! great Edge!

  • Edge saved this song!!!

  • No i think it has been good covered overall!

  • "Wa wa wa wa wandering!" I love that Edge seems to be contributing vocals a lot more these days!

  • Magnificent!

The Edge is in the zone!

  • :( grauslig Edge ... ein Joke

Johnny Cash ist in diesem Song nicht zu toppen!

  • Like its about topping! Its about paying respect and tribute. U2 did a great job.

  • Ich habe nur zum Ausdruck gebracht, dass es mir nicht gefällt (zumindest Edge sein Gequake, es verdirbt den Song). Es hört sich an, als würde eine Ente quaken...

Ansonsten hört es sich sehr gut an!

  • Yeah, that makes more sense :)

  • great stuff

  • WOW I didn't know this exsisted, they should play this on the new tour.

  • this song is so beautiful !!! I love both performance : U2 and Johnny.

Thanks Bono to have written it for Johnny

    Wonderful !!!!!

  • where can i get a down load of this by bono

  • u2start

  • Beyond Brilliant

  • Joaqin Phoenix used to be normal?

  • Absolutely magical!! Amazing version...

  • did anyone see Joaqin Phoenix on Dave Letterman? He must have been high on something. Hysterical though

  • that's fucking hell of bad ass rendition of their own tune but Jhonny's is a classic one.

  • this is great!

  • que buena version,esk m encantan estos tios,son la ostia,U2 forever,gracias irlandeses!!!!!

  • U2 is great, more than great, and a terrific song in the name of the greatly missed Johnny Cash.

  • wow. Edge is fuckin awesome

  • U2: 'I Walk the Line: A Night for Johnny Cash.' - November 02, 2005 / Los Angeles, CA

  • just heard bono / johnny cash / tom petty / willie nelson and forget the rest, "Give me back my job" . they are SOUNDING legends, and many thanx to allmemphismusic

  • PERFECT!!!! U2 are the BEST!!!!!!!

  • simplemente increible,Dios existe...The Wanderer

  • AMAZING!!! U2 is AMAZING!!

  • and he does a fine job.....

  • good

  • A sad day when Mr cash died, those that loved his songs and the man will know what I mean.

The Ultimate rock band singing a song they wrote with the Ultimate Country star.

Shame they never made footage of it.

my opinion for what it's worth.

    Enjoy.

  • U2 are the best!!!!

  • Bono's voice - smooth, rich, dreamy.

  • Eight fingers? really? oh my! lol

  • i would give at least eight of my fingers to hear the Zooropa version with Bono's vocal track.

  • Huh? Edge darling, where did THAT come from?

:-D Very nice indeed. R.I.P Johnny

  • rofl nice falsetto by The Edge, didn't expect that one coming lol

  • yeah, pretty cool huh..."wa wa wa wa walkin" lol

  • @erniebme wa wa wa Wanderer

  • @erniebme wanderin'

  • i was at the concert it was awesome to see them do it live

  • I was very happy to hear them cover this song that they wrote; never was a big J.Cash fan. This made me want to listen to this song all over again but, in a whole different light.

  • @erniebme Johnny is worth giving a listen...he made a lot of great music that transcended formats and touched and influenced a lot of artists from Dylan to U2 and beyond.

  • Excellent

  • SEMPRE I NUMERI UNO

  • Si mi amigo...siempre numero uno - the best!
