  • RIP Ben :( I'm gonna miss that Lap Steel...

  • rip ben

  • Definitely prefer the original acoustic version from Massay '71... still a great guy all the way. Whereas Justin is concerned: well eh, the dude's got a good voice, but it just isn't my thing ya know :-)

  • justin nozuka does it better :')

  • Not doing justice to a fine song. Got to hear the geat acoustic version of this song .. also "love in mind" is another rarely played great Neil Young song.

  • Where is this from? Thanks for sharing...

  • The definitive version is on his "Live at Massie Hall" d.v.d./c.d. recorded very nicely back in '71.

  • I like the Massie version, too. But have you ever heard the bootleg of the version recorded ca. 70 / 71? I consider that the definitive version. It's slower than this, sounds much sadder...makes the lyric "so much pain to go through" seem real...makes the indecisiveness and confusion of "come back, maybe...." seem real, too.

  • No, I've never heard ANY bootlegs, as far as I know ; ) I only listen to the "Live" versions after being burnt out on the studio recordings ; }. I think the chorus to this song kinda sucks, that's why he never 'put it out there'...that and 'what makes tomorrow guess'..hmmm..wtf? ; ]
