aggh god why is this edited? I LOVE that add-in "God I'm so f-ing useless when you're gone!" I wish I could find him using that line in an unedited version. This is fantastic, regardless.
he doesnt even perform this song anymore since he came back and starting doing shows again....its BS. this is my favorite counting crows song and a new performance hasnt been put up in at least a year.
i dont see how anyone couldnt love this song and eric is a great inspiring singer and that guy is a realy great singer too their both amazing writers.
OMG I love this song at the end of this CD but I can't stand it when Adam does this "talking thing" ~ugh~ he makes the song twice as long and you know what? it is not work, he's bored w/ the same same songs! it's hardly creative. Dude sing!
sirnutking - I said i kinda agreed with kevin226. But i never said it was a fact that they where better recorden, rather then live. But if you are going to be bitter and act stupid by saying "shut up" then I guess thet your problem isn't really with me thinking a different way then you. maybe you're geting beaten up by your father. Seriously find a shrink.
I think seeing a band live is what seperates the awesome ones from the bad ones. I saw them last summer and the show was great. I also have three or four live versions of all their songs and they're all great. And you know why? Because they're all different. Adam puts so much into each show. If you can't appreciate live music then you shouldn't be listening to music at all.
Crows are awesome live, gives a new depth to the songs and shows how much they want to give an individual performance to each audience. If you don't appreciate that then stay at home listening to the cd and shut up. Really. Just shut up.
Live performances are all about living in the moment and doing something different from the Cd, giving the audience something special that they or no one else has ever heard before - if you can't appreciate that you are a complete and total tool and know nothing about music or performance art. The counting crows are one of the best live bands EVER - and its BECAUSE they never play the same song twice. KEVIE226 YOU ARE AN IDIOT
I kinda agree to kevie226 But that is becaus i appreciate this one songe more then the band it self. But at the same time i agree to what you say. you really cann't compare live and cd. well you can but it makes no sense to me. And seriously caling someone and idio for not understanding the art of music... thats just sad -_-
You guys are right studio recordings are much better than live performances and while we're at it - all that stuff that the beatles did... it was just crap compared to their solo stuff. YEAH
I disagree. I mean you're right they definitely don't stick to the studio, but they put so much emotion into their performances. I mean Duritz was practically living that song there for the crowd, like he was walking backthrough a memory. You don't get that kind of emotion on stage all that often.
counting crows... so much potential live but the butcher the songs by improvising too much. If they would play them so they sound more like their albums, they would be amazing live.. but they don't.
I disagree sooo much on that one. Sounding like your album songs is nice, but that's only when you can't get the crowd with your improvised version...I'd take them live over ANY album record anyday, and I'm sure 100% of true fans would also.
oddly enough, I wasn't the biggest fan until I saw them this past summer with the Goo Goo Dolls and I fell in love with their stuff. I loved how they played lived and wish I could get a recorded version like it...I especially liked the 5 minute "I am feathered" thing that people seem to hate...lol
@dhartmann34 I completely agree with you. He's fantastic live. The video doesn't convey the energy floating around at one of their concerts. It's like a deep conversation, man - my favorite live band.
@kevie226 i disagree, i love that they improve live, makes it so much more powerful. if you're just gonna play the album arrangement, then you might as well don't play live. nothing new to offer.
@kevie226 - If it were any other band, I would agree. but with THIS band, no. The recorded versions ARE great. but the talent of this band makes it so that they can go further. most bands can't do that.
Wow, I love this version of this song. Thanks for uploading. :)

this video tripped me out this band so modest about how great they are! They really should release a new album! Man so much LSD in the audience JEEZE
