  • I love Symphony X (Singer), I love Dream Theater (Drummer (ex)) and I love Disturbed (Bassist). What's not to love about this band?!? :D

  • Jesus i am likin this band. Awesome. Come to ireland

  • love this but they could have chosen a better looking headstock lol

  • This video is psychosane

  • great song

  • Muy parecido al tema de dream theater para god of war 3 mmm plagio? jajaaj

  • @treseme22 Si es bastaaante parecido!..

  • Go Allen!

  • I seriously hope they put a better mix of this song on the album. Those levels aren't doing the song any favours.

  • Hmm...suspiciously Djenty :)

  • Hmm this thing reminds me too much of all those punky brat bands... Way different from where Allen and Portnoy come from (SX and DT)

  • These guys are easily the best band of the face of the Earth, and several other planets. The Beatles? Fuck that. Led Zeppelin? Who needs that gay shit when you have THE MOB.

MIKE PORTNOY AND EDDIE TRUNK FTW!!!

  • @MIKEPEARTNOY

    funny!

  • This mob rules!!!

  • I like both Allen and Portnoy and I'm pretty disappointed with the other 3 songs, but this one kicks ass! If this band becomes big maybe Allen will get the recognition he deserves.

    PS. Great guitars, too!

  • Frikkin awesome

  • this guy is a fucking amazing singer, this song is better than anything dream theater has ever made

  • @CNRDRUMMER1 This is starting to get better and better.. I think I underrated this AMOB in the first place. Hope to see them "live" someday...

  • @CNRDRUMMER1 Are you being completely serious right now? I'm pretty sure the whole Images and Words album was about twice as good as this. Nothing extremely spectacular about AMob. They sound good yeah, and they know their stuff, but placing this above "anything" from one of the paragons of prog (and metal, for that matter) is just amusing.

  • @WitherRecords Adrenaline Mob has one of the worlds best singers ,Allen schools the absolute shit out of LaBrie,

  • @WitherRecords I&W was great and I think it somehow starts a new era of metalproge.

But I think that this AMOB is great album, and there will be many who will like more this kind of pure rock'n roll. It is well played, lot of energy in it and makes good feelings. So it is no meaning to argue, if people like then they like...

  • The guitar is heavy. Drums need a boost, too quiet, not quiet enough balls for the guitar. Bass has like no sustain, also is very uncreative... I expected more.... But they are all very talented.... Except the bassist

  • this band isnt supposed to be like DT. i hate when people compare them just because Mikes been in both

  • THE FLYING ICEBELL!!!!!

  • fuckin' quality!

  • What I like about this new band is that all of their songs sound alike. That's actually a good thing. Also, Mike Portnoy is VERY noticeable in all of this as a composer.

  • @Rizzy55 Section 107 of US Copyright Law permits the reproduction of copyrighted works under "fair use", uses of which apply to criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.

    Try again.

  • @Dlano619 This fits under "criticism, comment" then doesn't it.

  • This song is awesome! it connects to me personally.. That being said, i don't see how people can compare between 2 bands that have such big difference in music taste.. i'm a HUGE fan of DT and was heartbroken when Portnoy left.. but come on, this is pretty freakin cool!

  • @ZedKayCoD couldn't have said it better myself!!!!

  • Sinto falta do Portnoy no DT....

  • Sinto falta do Portnoy

  • Who said Fear Factory? Rock on AB GREAT JOB!!!

  • No one gave a flying fuck when Solitary Shell was basically the exact same as Salisbury Hill... or the Medicate bass riff sounding like Heart of a Sunrise... This song kinda sounds like Pantera, big fuckin woop. Pantera ripped Portnoys YTSE drum solo in By Demons be Driven. So just shut up.

  • @TheWilderMusic Oo Actually Portnoy that RAPPED Demons be Driven in Ytse Jam's solo.

  • the chorus reminds me of disturbed

  • Are yall retarded? Pantera rip off.....lmao. Can't believe someone would say that. Maybe influenced by Pantera, deffinently not a rip off.

  • the solo sounds alot like paul gilbert hahahaha

  • Reminds me of Cowboys From Hell, especially with the "Oh, come on!"

  • @GodlessEnemy yeah i like that there went for a more older school sound rather than the over complicated jazzy progresive stuff most bands put out now a adays,

  • @GodlessEnemy i just found them and i was thinking the same thing! A little more muscle in the guitar and the sound might be there

  • Anything involving Russel Allen is just fucking mindblowing. I think my ears just exploded.

  • Mike Mangini, Mike Portnoy....whatever....both drummers are respected, both drummers are gods. Go ahead and judge them for their differences as long as no one should disrespect them....

  • That oooooh Come On! Was the biggest rip off of Pantera I have ever heard, lol. This is definitely better then Physcosane. New Dream theater Owns this in every way possible.

  • @DanielSan86 Except for the thing it's missing. Portnoy :)

  • @DanielSan86 I was just thinking that hahaha

  • @DanielSan86 first of all you can't compare DT and AMOB its 2 diffrent styles

the both bands are awosome in diffrent ways

second if you think its a rip off of pantera all I can say to you that you are a dumass

  • shut up you all this is like one of the best song i heard since 2010 ....

  • cool song !

  • @NOTWorthless... riffs are, lol. I seriously doubt that Mike Orlando ripped JP off. The relevant HTF riff is such a beginner riff anyway. There a plenty of riffs that sound like HTF before JP wrote that riff. That happens more often when you are referencing elementary riffs. Simplistic riffs always have a better chance of sound like one another. Think low entropy lol.

  • @NOTWorthless i said 8 because I was talking about the octave. Yes the there are 7. I also know what music consists of. I wasn't talking down go people. I was just frustrated because everybody seems to say people are ripping songs off, or "This sounds like that". I'm just saying that everything sounds a lot like everything. There are many DT's riffs that sound like each other that aren't meant to be thematic or conceptual. You'd think that wouldn't happen given how intricate and "unique" the..

  • Buenísimo el tema, que gran disco que se viene !!!

  • Cowboys from Hell like intro...

  • @euripappas Totally... OH COME ON!

  • vaya mierda

  • anselmo moment at the beginning :D

    great song

  • @armymanhaha I personally don't think that laughing at the end of a statement makes you lose creditability in that statement. Trust me, I believe what I say, lol. :O SEE! I just laughed, haha. I was laughing at the irony of the whole thing. If you want to get lost in minutiae, a lot of music sounds similar. It was more like a "Come on...really!?" kind of laugh.

  • Those who think this riff sounds like Honor Thy Father, that is just ridiculous. Once again you guys are just consumers if you can't tell the difference. Just because a riff go's dun-dun-dun in three notes as the same as the other riff doesn't mean it sounds like it. Keep in mind there are really only 8 notes in music. After that you are just moving them around the fret board and modulating them. There is also only so many ways to phrase them as well. EVERYTHING SOUNDS LIKE EVERYTHING, lol.

  • @progrhythmical you make good point. but all of it was lost when you said lol at the end of your statement. its like you dont even trust what you say.

  • @progrhythmical You're talking down to people and turning around and then claiming there are 8 notes in music? There are 7 notes in the usual scales and 12 notes available in (Western) music, so I'm not sure where 8 is coming from, but even if you had said 12 it would still be a gross oversimplification. You've completely left out instrumentation, rhythm, harmony, dynamics, and structure as being parts of music. The song does sound a little like HTF, but not so much that it sounds like a ripoff.

  • @progrhythmical The perfect comment mate.. Big ups!!

  • This sounds like Russel Allen's solo album. Nothing special

  • I should have said the snare is on the 1 of the bars of 4/4 that i assume you think sound like HTF in Believe Me.

  • ...just that, "engineers" for a reason. Don't quit your day jobs. It's like god damn Siskel and Ebert up in here lol. Critics are a dime a dozen. Put up or shut up. As in, make your own record.

  • And the drums don't sound like Honor Thy Father either. Once again, the only similarity is a syncopation(with the bass drum). The snare is on 1 of every bar of 4/4 in Believe Me. In HTF the snare is hitting on syncopated 16ths. Please verse yourselves in a least a little music theory before you start making remarks that make you look like musical retards. You guys making these wildly incorrect statements are OBVIOUSLY the inept "consumers" of the music world. The "engineers" of the music are ju

  • @spacedyedream it doesn't sound like it to me. But then again maybe you don't know much about note placement and accents. Do you find or funny that DT brings back ACTUAL riffs and melodies from older songs that aren't meant to be parodies or conceptual in nature? Lol I didn't think so. The riffs in these two songs are TOTALLY different, so is are the vocal melodies and patterns. The only thing they have in common is some syncopation.

  • flying bell into kneecap

  • drums... sounds like Honor thy Father...

  • Does anyone else find it funny that this sounds a lot like Psychosane?

  • a waste of talent for portnoy and allen to be together in a band, but at least there having fun.

  • I love this supergroup

  • once and for all, THIS IS NOT DREAM THEATER NOR SYMPHONY X!

    FFS grow up already.

  • I don't think Dream Theater is the band to compare these guys to. They sound nothing like them.

  • Disappointed beyond words.

  • @IrishGuitarist MP should have never left dream theater but i respect him for his decisions and is my fav drummer... do not expect this music to be like dream theater... nothing can be compared to dream theater.

  • @sheheryarsherry True, I also felt Portnoy acted like a prissy drama queen when his former bandmates seemed enthusiastic to continue without him. Plus, with a lineup including Portnoy and fucking RUSSELL ALLEN, you'd expect something innovative and mindblowing. Instead we get a generic modern "metal" band.

Since you were civil with your response, I'd like there to be no tension.

  • @IrishGuitarist no tension at all... cant wait for 13th September... DT new album xD

  • @sheheryarsherry Haha i downloaded the leak of it. Their best album in years and my favorite released this year.

  • MP is good at copying his own song for another band.

  • @seroxturk It's his song, he can do whatever he wants with it.

  • My favorite song from this band so far!

  • Can't wait to see The Duke with you guys, one of the most consistent tightest rhythm players around! Most underrated member of the band by far!

  • Ah jeez Russ.

  • It's like Mike and Russel came together and said, "Hey! Let's make the perfect song for death2all55." Thank you guys!

  • i think that mike is better fit for this band i think he prefers the harder rock vibe of adrenaline mob and i think DT's new music is as energetic as ever i feel the split while a sad change is a change that allows both parties to be happier in the end

  • Not impressed - Russell Allen is much better in Symphony X LOL!!

Its a very average song though all things considered

  • almost sounds like radio material, but probably won't be.

  • sorry but this is cheese; dissapointed

  • this is the song mike recorded and got nailed by the ice bell in the knee :P epic!

  • I've been reading the comments on these Adrenaline Mob videos and there are some seriously stupid ones... someone below said Russel Allen 'was' better in Symphony X... WTF! this isn't a new band, it's a damn fun little side project for these guys. Symphony X just released one of the best Prog Metal albums ever. I'm amazed Russel had time to record and tour this around the same time. It isn't supposed to be anything other than a bit of hard rock bar fun and Russel has said so himself... grow up!

  • In comparison with the songs MP did in DT this is poor... very poor

  • Going to be honest. This is just awful.

  • It reminds me of Pantera and Disturbed together, it makes me sad knowing that MP used to create great rythms in odd time signatures and now its just this used boring heavy metal

  • I cant really get why DT fans are bashing Adrenaline... Train of Thought was one 1 step away from this. If you change the vocals and remove the prog you get this album. Although I have to say I still like ADTOE much better (from what I get from the snippets)

  • @adronos I hear ya man.... I like DT's until A Change of Seasons, I like some stuff of Inner Turbulence as well 2 or 3 songs from Metropolis Pt2. But that's was it for DT for me. Train of Thought was such a plain big fail to me... For me it was like Dream Theater doing Prog/Nu Metal, with a Vocalist that used to do high pitched melodies. I've never liked Nu Metal, and never will probably. I miss the balance between Musicality and Progresive sound of Images and Words.

  • @HolyMarmot Same here...I love the 90's albums of DT (I personally believe FII was fucked up by the record company, if you listen to the original demos they are all pretty awesome songs), some of SDOIT, and Octavarium. In the Presence of Enemies is incredible though, and so far that's the only excellent song off of their heavier albums (by this I mean ToT, Systematic Chaos, BCSL), where they added a lot more metal into the mix. BCSL has its moments though. I have really high hopes for ADTOE :D

  • @HolyMarmot i know that many DT fans are like this but i dont really get it. ok Images was and awesome album with some songs that could have not been written by anyone else but i do like Scenes from a Memory better. after that i dont think they lost it but instead of every song in the album being KICKASS they just had some of them. in the new one though that seems to be gone and i think they had gone back to "godmode" lol

  • @bigbluemonkey290 Agreed. The band should've listened to Portnoy and taken a break to get some more inspiration flowing. On the Backs of Angels is musically a fantastic song but it just sounds so cookie cutter and boring, just like BCSL did.

  • reminds me of Disturbed which is cool.

  • Just enjoy guys! \m/

  • It's weird that Mike Portnoy doesn't sound at all like himself in this band. Normally I can recognize his style a mile away, but here he's like a whole different drummer. Can't say if it's a good or a bad thing. Well, I guess it's a thing. :)

  • saw these guys live and you can all suck adrenaline mob's collective dicks... they were AWESOME.

  • this is exactly like Honor Thy Father... this just goes to show how un-original mike portnoy and this entire band is... this band is yet another failure in a long line of failures of Portnoy...

  • @Nick103095

Portnoy has more money and more name-recognition than you. I'd hardly call any of his endeavors a failure.

  • @Nick103095 rofl... you know MP didn't write this song right?

  • It's just... boring! Seriously - How can anyone think this is great?!

  • MIKE PORTNOY LET'S GO BACK TO DT !

  • fuck haters this is badass. see them live

  • It's so sad that Portnoy would leave Dream Theater and waste his talent playing this generic crap. The drum parts are pretty boring. I can tell that the guitarist has talent but he doesn't use it, and the vocalist is good but doesn't do anything to separate himself from anyone else (granted LaBrie isn't that good). All of their songs sound the same, I've listened to 4 or 5 tracks and I'm pretty disappointed. I listen to DT cause they're different and new, this is so generic that it's boring.

  • @Drumwannabe17 u listen to dt cause there different and new? dt has been around for 26 years. and having fun isnt wasteing talent. mike portnoy had fun with avenged sevenfold not wasting talent at all. and yeah i do like dt better then this but i do like thse songs

  • Love the DT fans bashing away. Just because "On the Backs of Angels" is a mediocre song doesn't mean you take it out on us.

  • @Dlano619 I enjoy Adrenaline Mob very much.......As I have noticed on the songs you have uploaded (Thanks by the Way) you seem to be bashing DT just as much as the others are bashing MB.

  • @dicktravolta What goes around comes around.

  • @Dlano619 a mediocre song with more technique and feeling and even moooore views than this song :).....sorry but is the truth....... and this song is ok for me

  • @Dlano619 Thanks for uploading the songs but On the Backs of Angels is def not a mediocre song...

  • @Dlano619 In what whay is "On the Backs of Angels" a mediocre song???

  • @Bleedinghart Tepid and unmotivated. DT is capable of so much better.

  • @Dlano619 Well, note: MP isnt there anymore... he had a great part in writing the songs for DT... they're doing what they can...

  • @Dlano619 One of the new DT songs, Breaking All Illusions, has leaked. I suggest you check that shit out son! And as a rebuttal to your point about DT being tepid and unmotivated, I fail to see what Adrenaline Mob brings to the table except by being a Black Label Society clone with better vocals.

  • @Dlano619 Of course they're capable of more...because they are of the progressive genre! AM isn't and I don't get why people don't understand that. AM is meant to be a hard hitting hard rock/metal band that has a great live show! If you're not into that don't listen in. This is mainly Mike Orlando's writing by the way.

  • @Dlano619 I highly disagree.

  • @Bleedinghart i like adrenaline mob, but on the backs of angels is far beyond anything AM played at the show i went to

  • @Dlano619 Good luck assembling the 2,000 existent Adrenaline Mob fans and putting them against DT's 2,000,000+ fans. No one's taking it out on "you", it's just that some people happen to dislike this music.

  • @Dlano619 sorry but on the back of angels owns. Full Stop. Adrenline mob is good music, but nothing new, which makes it bad :( sorry Dream Theaer still and most likely always will have the edge, in my opinion its petrucci that held Dream Theater together not Portnoy and Magini is doing a beautiful job.

  • @Dlano619

i liked On the Backs of Angels, I think your hatred for Adrenaline Mob bashers is not allowing you to enjoy them both, I enjoy them both and don't let petty flaming get me upset, you shouldn't either :)

  • @Beecels Oh, dude, believe me (hahaha), I enjoy both bands. I was actually surprised at the new Dream Theater. Angels is the worst song on it, the rest is awesome. I enjoy both. What I don't enjoy is malicious criticism. I can do constructive, but I have been deleting any and all comments that I deem to be malicious and not actually making a point.

  • @Dlano619

    Fair enough

  • @Dlano619 I'm a big DT fan, still think this band is awesome. Love how you had to bash back at DT fans to get your point across.

  • The guitar is boring in just about every song. Sounds like the standard heavy-metal riffs, a lot like disturbed. I like disturbed a bit, but this.. It just doesnt get me interested at all.

    Also, missing the keyboard, big-time.

Ah well, I'm back to Dream Theater. :)

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... -BS...

  • I...I really don't know. I mean it's not bad. But it seems rushed. I REALLY want to like it. But I'm not sure if I do. I knew it'd be entirely different than Dream Theater and Symphony X...but I guess it isn't living up to my expectations. I'll try to let it grow on me, I just know these guys could put something better together...even along this genre.

  • @strangedejavu23 Exactly what i'm thinking. Besides it seems so strange DT seem to come with a relatively commercial new album ( and an almost radio friendly production ) , and this is very rough : it almost sounds like demos . But let's wait fot the full length album.

  • Mr. Mike, why BASS so louder ?

    but not in Dream Theater>>>

  • This is the song where the icebell hit portnoy...near the balls :-)

  • 'Honor Thy Father'

  • @Silvermind18 and pantera "oh come on"

  • i don't get it

  • Umm. No

  • @jamester401 What's that supposed to mean?

  • Portney is Jesus! R n f roll

  • Rock N Rolllll

  • Portnoy has corrupted me into so many things in the past and present and now it looks like he's doing it in the future. This shit dominates. Congrats boys.

  • Awesome fellas!!!!

  • Listening to the teasers I'll admit I was a little worried...but this is kickass!

  • Thumbs up for MP and Russell Allen!!

  • @drummingdude47 An amazing combination! I hope the album will be awesome :)

  • F*cking Awesome!!!!

  • cool Storry BROOooOO!
