I remember loving this movie as a child, pffft, I still do! I still tear up and cry a bit when Ariel's father destroys everything she has collected over the years, all her hopes and dreams. It also makes me think about how foolish she was (Like her daughter Melody) and just didn't get along all that well with her father. Then, she has a child and she realizes that. <3 Good memories. :'3
