dude i have a bunch of scripts that i wanna shoot but i have no idea where to get items such as prompt knives that look real, blood, lighting, umm and other things you would find in a horror film. Another thing stopping me is that i dont know how to do stab or kill scenes and making it look real. cause i wanna do a low low budget film but i dont want that real fake harmless comedy kills. iwant it to look really good. so if you can lend me some advice
Bsentertaimentfilms@ Alright will do thanks for your advice. I have a clip on you tube something I plan to make a whole film of.It's called gutter the killer but it's true title will be the harvester. There's a little too much dark quality it's kinda cheesy but please check it out if you like give me your thought thanks a bunch and take care. :)
@gorgasim87 write a creative story that only has one character. Like a guy with split personalities, or a guy who's scared to leave his house or along those lines. Then shoot it.
I'm 16 & in the UK. Got any advice on budgets? Most I think I can come up with is a couple hundred pounds and I'm not sure how far that will go for a horror. Also, any tips on screenwriting & original ideas? I find it hard to get the right inspiration so most of my scripts come out looking like a monkey crapped on my laptop :/
@WiccanThorn26 lol ok, well i think you could make a good film if you keep it extremely simple and borrow someones camera, or even find a crazy cheap one on ebay. Maybe make a short film. And download a program called celtx from their website. Take things from real life. hope that helps
what he said dude i need help.......i need fake knifs and guns that look real......my videos now arnt good and iv gone through traning so they will be better......i also need a cam....i no what i want but it is 400 dollers........and griff4863...i buy air soft guns and ether cut the orange thing off......or us black tape.....that works good, then edit it......sound and the muzzle flash.....look up (HOW TO MAKE A MUZZE FLASH on a gun on.........)what ever editing program u have and there.....
I've got a super burning question: how did you record your sound on either of the films? Did you do it directly into the camcorder or did you feed it into some kind of outside medium?
@FilmHarvest on kodie we used an azden microphone when inside the house, and relied on the on board camera microphone when shooting in the creatures lair
my friend and i are making an unofficial remake of the movie "ALIEN". i wrote the 30 page script. It is going to be awesome, look on my page to watch it. It's not on yet, but will be in the next month or so.
Hi Abel and Jen. My name is John and i'm actually using my son's account to write this. What I wanna know is if you can give me advise on how to make a horror movie for a modest budget, which we only have 4,000. We have several locations for free and actors as well... but it's other things will paperwork and insurance that I need advice on. if you can help me, I'd so appreciate it. Thanks. John.
I have a fresh idea for a horror and/or science fiction movie:
At an underwater submarine base, exotic creatures are kept and studied by a biological engineering company. They are in the middle of a breakthrough that gives the sharks and and octopus brain a jolt of intelligence that allows them to sabotage the entire facility.
May sound odd but watch.....I'll be a director someday!
me and my friends have been making hooror movies together well not actually filming but u kno writing and every1 says ima great actor nd i wanna make star in and direct a film so any tips ppl :)
um hi i have a few questions. Im gona make a zombie movie and im getting a bunch of other people around town to help but like im not going to be directing or anything im going to be in it cuz i know a few people who have some experience in directing and stuff. anyways, what kind of camera should we use? and also are there any places i could go to get like shotguns or something that look realistic but arent really real? please right back, thanks a lot. U got me subbin here :)
alright thanks, might take a little bit for the overall planning cuz we're still in the early stages of production. I JUST found out that my friend has a canon hv20 or hv40.
hey man if you go to like academy or somethin' buy a black airsoft gun there like 20 bucks other than the orange end it looks pretty real. but me and my brother got tired of the orange end so we went to wal-mart and got a nerf shotgun (it was blue and yellow) but we spray painted it black and it looke really real!!!! and for that one it'll cost ya 'bout 12 bucks...so both of them still pretty cheap...Good luck!
oh thats awesome! Definitely go to your local bookstore, there are tons of great books on line producing, raising budgets, release forms etc. We have a great producer who always has the paper work and schedules in order. Just learn everything u can. I hope this helps
@BlackBankai92 well, i would try and stay original. But get opinions ya know. Come up with a few designs and maybe ask friends what they think.
