good job on ray. did you use fixative afterwards?

also it looked like you used blue masking tape all around the edges, i done that once..... the tape stuck. funny now. but then, not so much.

yup I always use fixative; and I usually dont have a problem with the tape sticking...

I havent drawn since Xmas :-/

but i used to draw every daya couple years ago, and even before then I drew quite a lot. I would study other peoples technique and go practice my own mastery.

Dude, you are really awesome, can i just ask what paper you use, and what eraser, it erases beautifully, i wish i could draw like that it will be years before i can do anything like that.

I use a kneaded eraser and the paper is just premium recycled. Comes in a big sketch pad 18x24

First of all thanks for subscribing second of all, I just just iMovie HD...and then if I want to do more editing with fancy effects say for like text I take that into After effects.

If you have windows...you might be able to do it with Premiere Pro, and possibly after effect? But idk?

I started drawing people when I was in middle school...I have always taken art classes, but for the most part I would say I was self taught.

Basically I sat myself down and told myself to draw the shapes I see and ten match the shading....focus on one part at a time and not the whole (which I have been critcized for again and again)

How'd you do the hair? I guess I did not pay attention...

and also, what do you say to yourself when you do something that seemingly perfect? I would feel absolutely amazing. If you don't, you should.

first of al lthank you...the hair is usually a combination of blending stump and erasing, and its not quite perfect...i do this thing where i build it up enough that im satisfied with it, and trust me its hard early on, b.c honestly it always looks like poop no matter what....just gotta push through it

Nice work man, good music to go with it too. I'm love to sketch with charcoal myself. I'm sort of a fast drawer, but my problem is not taking time out to rest. I always try to finish it within the same day or else I quit.

Dude I have such trouble erasing when I use my fingers... The oils just kind of absorb into the paper even if I rest the side of my hand on the paper... So I usually try to wash my hands every half an hour to an hour when drawing. What kind of charcoal are you using? Is it that conte' stuff?

vine charcoal...with some compressed for the super darm areas

Yes vine charcoal and for the really dark areas I use compressed charcoal....
