How did you do the incredible light show behind the set?? How did you have so many panels light up differently?/ Did you have this set designed by a teacher? It's great!!
Hahaha!! this is so funny!!! I played the role of finch in my schools production of this! I loved it. This is Hilarious! 5/5 stars for this video for sure. Check out mine if you would like to, and subscribe to them. I am for sure going to subscribe to you!
If you hate to say it that much.. then DON'T. Now, isn't that the smarter choice?
On a forty-foot-wide stage, the 12 feet that they were apart wasn't very much. The separation actually is needed, since Rosemary and Finch are singing their "thoughts," not to really be heard by each other. Get the concept?
Yeah, Finch IS annoying. Well, whatcha gonna do? It's ancient history now.
Thank you for viewing and commenting. Well, I mean it.
I liked this Smitty. Although she might not have had the finest singing voice, her character had just the right amount of intelligent, sarcastic bite. She was by far the best choice from the "auditioning-student-body" for this role.
If you solely judge Smitty by her ability to sing like a lark, then yeah... she's pitchy, so she's crap! Then again... if you were to view the entire show, and see the character that she established, then... maybe she's not so crappy!! I respectfully say that there is more to a musical than the vocals. If it were only about the singing, it would be nothing more than a boring choral concert. Thanks for commenting.
First - And so what? Haven't you ever pranced around in front of an elevator?
Second - He thought that he was playing the roll "prissy." Instead, he was "sissy!" ...Just a little joke . . VERY LITTLE. Just to make sure about "him," I'll ask him if he adores Judy Garland, Bette Midler, Liza, etc. THAT should tell all!!!
hahaha. Sorry i didn't mean that in a mean way..i have nothing against gay-ness at all. Really. I really love this musical and i think you all did a great job. ;)
Third - And you mean to tell me you thought that FINCH wasn't? Search the other H2$ clips from this HS and read the comments!! The actor got ragged-on alot.
Would have played a little better at a faster tempo with MUCH faster cues---I mean, practically stepping on lines. And stage it much closer together in front of the elevator. But not bad at all. This and "I Believe In You," are my two favorite songs in the show.
Ahh.. tempo is supposed to reflect going home after a tiring day at work, so I like it the way it is. The characters are blocked to be "awkwardly" apart on purpose. Smitty needs room to travel.{Also, the set was 38ft wide.} Definitely, "I Believe in You" is my favorite too!! There is a clip from this HS. Search and you'll find it. Youtube doesn't allow me to add a link here. THANK YOU GOOGLE!!
This is great. I haven't done Been a Long Dsy yet. I'm Smitty in a small amiture production with my best friend playing Rosemary. Should be doing this song later on today. Fingures crossed this will help :D
This is really, really impressive. My school is holding auditions for this in about a week and I'm aiming for the role of Heddy, so I was wondering if you could PLEASE post "love from a heart of gold" or any other major things with heddy? if so, thank you so much.
This show was done almost a decade ago.. and I don't remember much about that song, except that I wasn't especially impressed by Heddy's & Biggley's performances in it. I'll take a look at the tape. If it's at all "adequate," I may post it.
Amazing ....I keep saying that. HIGHSCHOOL !! Fantastic sets, lighting and staging. The kids are so advanced for hs...and the tech staff (lights espec) work like trained dancers !! "Bud" could very well end up on 'matchgame' if they still had it..thx for this.

Aww, just my luck. I'm through thinking AND you removed you comment! I believe you wrote, and I quote, "why is frump always a big faggot"..
It seems that many young actors have trouble distinguishing between a smart alec spoiled primadonna and a prissy queen. They ARE so much alike!

It was a $10 piece of crap sliding-closet-door track from a hardware store, and a piece of rope. Sorry that you didn't try something. It looks cool!

Hey!! I noticed that the rating stars are down to THREE. Who's pissed at me, I wonder??

i hate to criticize something that people worked so hard on but...
finch is annoying
they should be some interaction between the actors, not the 15 between between each of them.
ther is nothing worse than an ugly line
finch is annoying, oh did i say that already, well i mean it

leo - Why are you EVEN bothering to respond about blocking to a 16 year-old nico...?
Besides, the blocking shown here is similar to the B'way revival. Good work!!!

I guess that the director should have cast a virile, macho "real" man like Nathan Lane, to play the part.
