So true. It's like everyone gave their best in this series. It's, IMHO, Steve Ma's best performance. Cathy Chow just exceeded my expectation by a long short. She's bit of a hit and miss, but she's very good here. The chemistry is certainly crucial to its overall success. Steve Ma said, of all the actresses he's worked with, he had the greatest chemistry with Yip Tong, whose Zhao Min is by far the best.

yeah, when it comes to pure physical appearance, few actors were as suitable to play Zhang Cuisan as he was (I'm not sure about Zhang Wuji cuz he didn't come off as some kind of cultured classy gentleman who could compose poem like his father did), too bad his incessant screaming ruined the character, nevertheless, his version of Zhang Cuisan probably still is the best one so far.
