the movie was alright but the ending was fuckin awful, ALIENS?! the movie was going great and then E.T. came to beam the kids up and take em to some wierd planet. and let every one else to die. Why was that even there? it was feeling a little creppy how it could be possible with all the mathmatical numbers and shit, but then we found out the aliens brought it from planet wierd.

The subway scene actually made me unleash a belly laugh because it was as contrived as a death scene from Final Destination (which I'm sure you all love) and people were running away from the derailed train like Bugs Bunny away from Elmer Fudd. The religious overtones added a totally new layer of poor taste to the film. And the world was destroyed by a giant solar flare... seriously... wtf???

This is one of the best apocalyptic sci-fi movies I've seen in a long time, I totally did not expect it to end the way it did. I found the movie suspenseful and the ending original. I am saddened by the fact that I did not see this movie in a theatre, honestly, I thought it would be another cliche ending where the hero of the story somehow resolves everything through some unbelievable means. I can't believe this movie didn't score lower than 30% on rottentomatoes. Seriously, this is one of the worst films I've ever seen. The disaster scenes aren't harrowing, instead being more comical and the ending is so incredibly quasi-religious, you'd expect Mel Gibson to have directed it. Acting is awful and subtlty just does not seem to be in the vocabulary of the writers of this film. If you want heart-rending disaster with pathos, look elsewhere.

The movie intertwined a bunch of apocolyptic theories from many different culters starting with the Sumerian civilization up to the 20th century Christian ideas...using the Bible to interwine the 4 horseman of the apocolypse with Ezekials "wheel within a wheel" vision in the old testament, to what the Sumerian's believed their knowledge came from which were Gods from the sky which were extraterrestrial beings...fascinating to see such theories spun together...

In the end rabbits doesn't mean anything, i explain the rabbits: if you the at the very end you will see that there are other spaceships that are taking off which means that they put other people in that new planet probably pairs too and probably each pair of people with a pair of other kind of animals as some sort of Noa's arc get it.

the only thing i couldn't get was the tree, why a tree that makes allusion to the tree of life... that i don't know.

Don't understand why some people didn't get this film... the film shows that what we believed to be angels, what people wrote in the bible as angels is nothing else than alien beings much much older and superior than us that have been watching the human race very close through our entirely history.

They actually show them like angels if u look close you will see kind of light wings in their backs... but that doesn't mean that they are angels just means that what we thought as angles were aliens.
