I don't really hear an SNES resemblance. I hear mostly Double Dash in this. But now that you mention it, the bass line is somewhat similar to the SNES's.

The "hook" for this is the first part of the N64 version of Rainbow Road. Most Rainbow Road versions use the second part, simply because it was the "hook" for the N64 version. This version of Rainbow Road goes to show that both parts of the N64 theme were very good.

I have mario kart DS, Mariokart 7, And mario kart Wii. I Rarely play the wii one, Theres to much fucking items an that noise when items are near you is so fucking annoying! Oh and this theme kind of sounds like Figure 8 Circuit.

But then I lost it somewhere in my house, so still searcing, now I am getting Mario Kart 7 on Christmas, and it looks AMAZING!!! I cannot wait to play it for my new 3DS!!!

@Mariomaster091 I'm totally with you, mario kart super circuit was way too underrated and overly critisised. At first, it was a little hard to play, but like all intelligent gamers, I kept at it and soon I just couldn't see why people say its shit.

It's the super mario sunshine of mario karts, great game but really misunderstood.

Plus, I think people are way too obsessed with mario kart 64, its a good game, but people talk about it as if its an ocarina of time.

I feel it's a bit overrated.

Maan... Mario Kart SUPER CIRCUIT( the CORRECT name for the GBA game) might have been primitive, but it was reminiscent of the ORIGINAL Super Mario Kart. And with it were plenty of memories. This is pretty awesome though, in its own ways. Except for the people who would use the "Snaking" Tactic. It just made racing UN fun and nearly impossible.

Actually Mario kart Wii used the same intro from the DS, since DS came before Wii, Wii used it off DS. But actually, i think the real introducer to the introduction was Double Dash. It kind of has the same feel to it.
