I just want to make sure I dont get an preamp that sounds and feels sterile or just simulations.The ADA MP-1 and Marshall JMP-1 that I had were real amps with real output.I have a Jackson JX-3 and its pretty big beefy sound and all tube(2).There always seems 2 B a compromise with amps anyway,so I thought if the Voodu valve and Velocity 300 put out real amp tone,then I will have the whole package with the effects and then I can B finished with the amp hunting! ThanksBud!
what do you like better, your ada or the chameleon?. I"ve had an ada and a jmp-1 and they were both real good.Am thinking about a new Voodu Valve.Have you played through one of them? Would like your input.
@dewycatt2112 It really depends on what I was shooting for. The ADA was better for general rock, and lower gain tones, but for high gain riffing (metal territory) the Chameleon absolutely rocked. I've never used a Voodu Valve, my understand is (and it could be wrong) that they are essentially a Chameleon with tubes. Which is pretty great.
