I feel what the ships are & what they do is mor important the individual series. For sheer numbers Star wars is number 1, but for variety Babylon 5 cannot be touched. The technological detail of Star Trek tops all, since Stargate is more about ground combat it does not count really but is not too bad in ship designs.

Zu dem Punkt mit der Originalmusik: Es wäre irgendwie komisch, und nervig, wenn alle paar Sekunden ein neues Lied anfangen würde. Naja, außerdem fand ich da, dass kein Soundtrack einer der Serien wirklich zu allem passt. Da hab ich einfach was "neutrales" genommen. Und ich fande dieses Lied halt passend.

Und es soll ja ein Musik-Video werden.... Da finde ich persönlich, dass Soundeffekte fehl am Platz sind.

And @6:10 where the attack ships are flying sideways while blasting the larger ship walls and then @6:17 one of them flies fast by the fire, as the rest follow after the explosion blast @6:19-6:27,is so cool

The last clip is taken from a fan-made film called "Star Wreck: In the Pirkenning" and it was a Star Trek vs. Babylon 5 experience. A lot of people seem to confuse it for strait up Star Trek because not a lot of people watched Babylon 5... but those that did loved it (me included).

Though Trek ships really should have kicked the b5 ships ass (shields, nearl-light impulse, teleporters, etc) but fans like explosions...

I love BSG and B5 Fighter battles, since both use relatively realistic physics, they can practically dance through space.

Not like star trek or star wars, who fly as if they were inside an athomsphere :)

Sorry, but star trek ships often fly as if they were inside an athmosphere, they dont ever fly in one direction and face another, unless they specifically fly backwards.

Both B5 and BSG feature fighters turning on the spot, flying in a completely different direction than the one they're facing, and so on, just like they would if there were real space fighters.

what are you talking about, B5 and BSG all uses the Newton pshysics law. In fact, B5 was the first sci-fi series that did that. Starfuries are specially designed for space, they can turn on their axis while still moving forward, or just hit the "breaks" and go above you to fuck you up.

The starfuries are no macth for a ship like the delta flyer( StAr Trek Voyager) and Several ST TNG episodes clearly show the enteprise moving as a spaceship, not like an air plane etc. Newon is in the basics, warp drive is possible sence it is based in the theory of relativity.

Lofaszjani is right, StT and SW battles are nowhere near as realistic as BSG and B5. The ships of those series actually show that due to the lack of strong gravity in space, fighters and capital ships can execute crazy turns. Some Stargate episodes show this as well as they've show Ha'taks flying around like fighters, only to be blow to shreds by an Ori ship, which swoops down from above, unlike the capital ships in SW & ST, which all fight as if space was an almost flat plane.

the missiles used by the F-302 and other Tauri ships do have shield frequency modulators that allow them to pass through shields. However, the shields of the Ancients and Ori seem to still block Tauri missiles. This is probably due to their far superior level of technology, remember the missiles were designed to penetrate Goa'uld shields. The missiles do seem to penetrate the shields of Pegasus replicator capital ships, suggesting that the replicators are weaker than the Ancients.
