I'm not getting the vaccine and don't have any prescription drugs. All I'm saying is that if no one took the vaccine - more people would die than they would die from getting the vaccine even if you included the rare side effects a fraction of a percent of the people will have that take it.

Here's my point: why demonize the flu shot? With 36,000 flu-related deaths and 200,000 hospitalizations annually, I don't hear you demonizing the flu virus. And to make a blanket statement that no one should get the vaccine is absurd - to those who are extremely immunocompromised, the flu shot can be a life-saver. As an RN, I realize that natural immunity is always best, but it's simply not safe for certain populations.
