So many of us old heads left Chicago for so called bigger and better things but when its all said and done it don't get no bigger or better than home! I'll be back!!
Yeah and they ain't doin shit for us old-school house heads in chicago(the birth-place of house)little to no radio airplay, very few parties, it's a crying shame! Wish something could be done about it!!! Old-school stuff is where it's at, this new school commercial house crap their doin now doesn't have the substance as the music back in the day!!! TRUTH BE TOLD!!!
This guy REALLY knows where its at. "The first thing is to do quality music". Right on, and he's continued doing that for over 20 years! Keep up the great work JM.
PS: can anyone id the track playing at 3:57 ? cheers
Stevie-Boy, man, you hit the nail on the head! I could not agree with you more and I could not have said it any better. Hurley, Morales, Knuckles, Terry (Tod the God) they make my heart sing and my legs swing. Best Hurley remixes for me: "We Got a Love Thang"/ Ce Ce Peniston, "Too Blind To See It"/ Kym Sims, "Jam"/ JACKO, "I Will Survive"/ Chantay Savage..he turned that classic into a brand new song, better than the original which is hard!
I STILL HAVE ALL OF THOSE MIXES FROM BMX, GCI AND B96 ON CASSETTES FROM BACK IN THE DAY! HOUSE MUSIC ALL NIGHT LONG!

This man must to me is the best remixer/producer/dj on the planet together with david morales.
I have practically every 12" that contains a Hurley house mix.
My favorite productions are
"Are you gonna be there" by Shay Jones
And "I'm doing fine now" by the Pasadenas.
"I dont know anybody else: by black Box.
I can listen to them over and over and over again. Mr Hurley; YOU RULE BIG TIME.
