  • you have some great stuff here

  • love the video really good

  • Sweet

  • Awesome. Not that galaxies collide and cataclysmic events may occur. But rather that we see, think, learn, and understand. Thanks so much for sharing.

  • @Ghst5150...i know right?..we are too busy poking our noses in shit were not suppose too smell.

  • ahahaah OUR GALEXYS EATING YOUR GALAXY! EAT THAT LOOOOOSEEERRR

  • i wish people would stop saying "building blocks". wtf?

  • this began at 13000 years :D

  • All this kind of unpractical stuff, this IMAGINED stuff that bears no relevance even to the lifespan of the species, is nothing but time-wasting & resource-wasting 'fatal distraction'.

  • @nirbija Wrong, research in any scientific field is relevant. The mathematics involved in calculating this prediction could very well be used in other fields, an example would be how physics have led to the internet. Now never again make stupid statements based on stupid assumptions.

  • @zzzIdividedbyzerozzz And your IMAGINED "other fields" couldn't have had the relevant mathematics developed specifically for them"? lol

Your statement is clearly implying (& proving my point) that "the mathematics involved in calculating this prediction" has no know & relevant value!

So you see, the only 'stupid statement' is yours; but we don't expect you to be bright enough to realize this fact. lol

  • @nirbija All scientific data and knowledge is valuable. People like you inhibit learning and exploration.

  • reminds me of my last relationship...

  • @ 2:30-La de da da!!

    2:35-Oops, sorry brotha!

    2:49-Lets hug!

  • all your galaxy are belong to us

  • well its posible we may be killed but theres a greater chance that we will survive. infact we might even discover something great in a whole new galaxy and learn more than any alien could.

  • Our sun will turn into a Red Giant around the Milky Way Galaxy and the Andromeda Galaxy will merge. The Red Giant Phase will destroy the Earth.

  • Does our position in the milky way have an affect on us?

  • @Nish2280 other than being part of an insignificant run of the mill star system that is one of 20 billion stars in a medium sized rather bland galaxy that is one of trillions in the KNOWN universe, thats just what we can see from earth...

  • @cornmon Didnt really answer my question directly but im guessing that means no...

  • Werter User,

  • Two questions:

    1. What's the song playing during the simulation of the collision?

    2. If galaxies collide, should surviving humans worry at all (provided that 2 billion years from now we don't inhabit half of the then-known universe)? Isn't the gravitational pull that tears the two galaxies apart negligible to the gravity that keeps solar systems together (meaning most of them should be unaffected unless they themselves collide with other solar systems)?

  • How much longer! I want Webb launched!

  • recycled , matter

  • The so called dance between the 2 massive blackholes it is so god damn cool.Makes me wish I'd live for another 2-3 bil years so I can widness the merge.

  • @Mrstabber :-) , you can now see how the continents moves, that goes much faster and is still just boring.

Generations will be born and die in the middle of that merge without see any big changes on the sky, unless something collide. If they are lucky, the earth get captured by another star before this one burn out, but it will probably be lot of options to find a new planet that comes close enough. And "we" will not look a bit as now, but very different if humans even still exist then.

  • @ytbabbler

Yes continents move alot faster and it's boring ONLY because of the limited time we "have" as a consciousness.Take a look at any chemical reaction,it's splendid, takes your breath away and you can(at least I know for sure I can) watch it over and over again without getting bored. If time wouldn't be a problem then I'm pretty sure you wouldn't find anyone of the 2 boring,at least i know I wouldn't.

  • WHAT IS LIFE?

  • @Ambushcrysis pretty much microorganisms that can move, eat and fuck...

  • @Ambushcrysis

Physically, life is classified as phenomena that consist of compounds that are active (organic) . i.e. undergo metabolism, maintain homeostasis, multiply, respond to stimuli, reproduce and adapt to environment. Mentally, life is "awareness". It really depends on our perception of what classifies as life based on our observational frame of reference of our surroundings. Any phenomena in known universe could be considered to be form of life or constituents that make one up.

  • Hope that they launch this telescope before the US economy collapses and funding is cut but i wouldn't be to sure...

  • Who is this James Webb guy? He must have invented the Internet :P

  • to be honest with this NASA channel i would love to be sent to space just so i can travel the universe and give ya info about it and i would love to spend the rest of my life just going as far as possible from earth to see what else i can find

  • 1:27 to 3:12 is EPIC!

Too bad we'll all be killed...if mankind even survives till then...

  • @Ght5150 If mankind survives until then and if it keeps developing technology as fast as now, don't worry, we'll not be in this galaxy anymore, pretty much far away.

  • @Ght5150 I can guarantee you mankind will NOT survive 2 billion years.

Hell, we won't even survive 1 million.

Unlike the dinosaurs, our internal conflicts scar the planet we live on and may compromise our way of life/existence on this planet.

    kp

  • @Ght5150 Certainly not. At least, not as our "current" species, Homo Sapiens.

  • milkomeda. wow thats so uncreative :P

  • @smelliott111

    I agree, Milkomeda sucks!

Andromeda con leche would be better!

  • @smelliott111 Lets call it steve :)

  • Ouch - 2:30

  • Andromeda looks really awesome :)
