  • well...actually she doesn't have the Abby's inside her anymore. She now sports John Cruz Master Design Pickups out of a "Wildwood Ten"...one of the last to come from the US as well...Abbys for sale, just fyi.

  • What a tone!!!!

  • Sounds really nice, Greg. Beautiful touch, incredible dynamics. Phrasing intriguing too, bro. The dynamics are stunning, really.

  • Could be my Mac, but all your Strats sounds like thin crying whales, and it does not sound well. Get rid of your Okkodumbo effects

  • @AndreDerain i think its your mac

  • @AndreDerain true, you have to work for your sound on a strat, this guy is probably a 335/LP man

  • Don't get me wrong, I think it's pretty cool that they sell 'worn' looking Strats, but I reckon half of the fun is owning the guitar for 50 years and making all the dents yourself ... in theory, anyway. I'm only 24. Haha.

  • This guitar...wow!!! Does she have a name? she don't need no paint her beauty is on the inside...baby...she's an unbelievable play!

  • You are awesome. Can you tell us more about your Vibrolux? What tube? What speakers? THanks

  • @rjduval original jensen speaker and new JJ Tubes

  • @rjduval

I love that stat, nice and beat up just the way I LIKE EM.

  • Woah! Those AY pickups + Okko Diablo + A trail of delay into a Vibrolux sounds soo good! Great playing Greg.

  • Tasty stuff - love the Teddy bear!

  • nice playing and amazing sound.. :)

  • Great playing as always Greg, love your smooth tone and playing.

Do you have any recording tips? You always really get the dynamics out so well, it looks fairly simple what you're using to record, i just have a hard time getting the same tone i hear into pro tools :)

  • Whoops - didn't realize you point out when you introduce an effect. Sorry - they sound fantastic.

  • Very nice tone and great playing. Not to be critical but it's hard to hear what effect the pickups have on the tone when you have two overdrive pedals and a delay. These pedals drastically influence the tone, so it's hard to know whether you'd get the same tone using a Strat with el-cheapo Squire pickups.

  • i 'm amazed to see how simple and smooth you make this strat

cry !!!!!!! you are great @@

  • pickup 57/62?

  • I don't know. These are the Abigail Ybarra custom shop stock pickups

  • If you ever want to sell/trade that strat, let me know. Seriously.

  • it has been sold already....

  • whoohoo, awesome sound and nice playing Greg! (as always...)

    This guitar sounds ooohso nice!

I love the colour, lake placid is my favorite. And this one really looks worn in all the right places, not as fake as the other heavy relics I've seen!

    Complete with the Abbbys...supercool!

  • This is your best sounding guitar. I have several stratocasters and mine do not sound like that.

  • i always have trouble with alternate picking but you do it perfect!

  • Dude...very sweet lush tone and very nice palying sir! Tell me if you will....would you recommend Abigail Yberra pickups, and what should I expect to pay for them?

  • yes, these pickups are great.

Sorry, I don't know the price for those

  • Oouf! Guitare/Setup sounds very good, & your playing techniques is just awesome!!!

lol, you could actually do justice to an actual vintage guitare dated much older than 45 years old, and make it sound like a new one right off the making machine! :-)

  • How can I get a mercury box Greg? I live in America and understand that they aren't sold here. Any way I could order one off of a site or something?

  • go to guitarX website. It goes for $226

  • That gold top lp seems to be in the background for most of your videos. I'm assuming it's one of your main guitars?

  • yes, this my No.2 Goldtop - a 1952 converted. My main guitar is a converted 1968

  • awesome!!! lol the strat came all worn down when u bought that right? hahah

  • yes the worn down job is done by Fender (great job on this guitar)

  • How awesome! lol

  • How does the texture of the finish feel? Because i often find fender relic finishes to un-realistically smooth.

  • on this guitar it looks and feels unbelieveable great - just like an old one

  • cool!

  • great! un feeling e un tocco della madonna!
