good quality headphones don't sound nice right out of the box. over time the headphones will gradually produce better, more accurate sound. its true. took 50 hours for my Bose around-ear to get the vents full opened up

it would sound better if you took off your hat. it has to be completely sealed round your ear to feel the bass and sound. I have a pair and they sound amazing i still like grado's but there more of a at home use headphones than travel since the damm cord is thick and long.

audio-technica is wayyyy better imo, you could get sum ATH-M40fs for like 50-60$ and they r just as good just bulkier but they keep the sound in the headphones wayy better plus if u take them off and crank it up u can use it as mini speakers, complete noise cancelling from bose u need to spend 300-400$ douchebag

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about because those aren't even noise cancelling headphones. They are really cheaply made and they break if you sneeze on them. I've had two pairs(one replaced for free by bose) and they have both broken in the same spot. Do not buy them EVER.

You should have paid slightly more and got the Bose On Ear head phones. Out of the Bose in ear , Bose on ear and Bose around ear, The Bose on ear are by far the best in terms of volume and bass.
