  • so why cant we see how they came down from the tree

  • 1:52

    YOU NO TAKE BONE!

  • Harpy eagle eats monkeys

  • i think dats a Harpy Eagle

  • why on earth doesnt this expert put a plate of steel in his gauntlet? i know nothing about birds, but this makes sense to me.. i would wear goggles too.

  • You don't have to go 'hands on' to get amazing footage of wild animals and get information out to people. David Attenborough does it without resorting to disturbing the lives of the animals most of the time. Eagles do not like being picked up or having their nest invaded. Have some respect for the animals and leave them alone!

  • what kind of eagle is that?

  • @MountianBanshee I think it is a Crested Eagle of sorts

  • 2:32 GODAMNIT I JUST VACUUMED MY NEST

  • 1:43 O'RLY

  • the chick should turn around and bite him in the nuts hahahahah

  • Not a smart idea to go looking in Eagles nests as the mother can smell if there has been predators around and if she senses any danger she will leave her chicks to die.

  • @OrthodoxDarwinist

sry to dissapoint you, but that is just a myth ;) no birds leave their young to die if they can smell humans on them!!! it is perfectly safe to handle chicks with your hands... bird chicks i mean :D no but seriously, it´s nothing more than an old wifes tale...

  • @daveslow84

I am a vet, it is a fact.

    h tt p :// w ww .sciencedaily . com/ releases /2008 /04/080427233813 .htm

  • @OrthodoxDarwinist no it aint i handle my chicks every time the bird type

  • Wow, may there one day be a drone armed with steel talons, eagle eyes that shoot lazers and is powered on the flesh of its enemies. Program it with justice

  • When it went to fly off, it nearly took the poor chap with him.

  • lol*flap flap holy shit!!!!!!*

  • I actually loves what he is doing! I love him!

  • LMAO at 1:50... and i would have kept that skull ;)

  • Do these eagles have large talons? also, are they going to eat all those tots?

  • "You're telling me that this eagle here can damage me through this glove". lmaoo why didn't he give that crucial info earlier?

  • Eagles are ultimate killers.

  • I'd be out of that tree immediately.

  • DO THE CHICKENS HAVE LARGE TALONS

  • @DiamondJewel1200 Oh yes. Especially during a cockfight. Their talons are big and sharp. Made of metal last time I checked.

  • illegal much?

  • That looks like a Harpy Eagle

  • @KEngel1021 It is.

  • Amazing footage - Im not sure if these Guys are mad or brave but they have my vote..

  • I really love Eagles Talons, have been shooting them for months now and they are fascinating birds!

  • did they died? coz the clip just ended there..

  • FYI golden eagle's grip strength is approx. 250kg,so if you get gripped in the neck it could be fatal.

  • i wouldent want to die like the monkey did

  • lol if i came home and my baby was in between some dudes legs id go ape shitt

  • weight lifter birdy haha

  • cute baby eagle

  • hmmm i wonder how the got out of that sticky situation

  • I'm glad people are big enough and birds are small enough that they don't hunt us anymore.

  • They were just talking about the mother... or was there a time cut between that?

  • wow those huge eagles dont get enough credit for how amazing they are

  • 1,000 psi at the end of the talons and 700 psi grip.

The pitbull that everyone is scared of is around 400 to 500 psi.

The eagle talons can easily pierce a human's skull.

  • wonder if those eagles are used to those people coming to the nest, cause the mother doesn't seem to agitated by the people being near the nest, and the chick is pretty much sitting in the guys lap like a cat

  • I think you're right. She looks concerned but not at all angry. Although they probably should get out.

  • Dam... Still my fav animal :D

  • I wonder if an eagle has ever killed a person? Looks like its possible.

  • they can tear eyes out of person

  • "You're telling me the eagle can hurt mee through this glove"..."yea" "Oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit"

    :L

  • almost heros

    rip your face right off

  • The chick was really feisty. :))

  • rofl, he loves that bird but the bird FUCKING HATES HIM!

  • chick is like, "jesus christ dudes, u woke me up" *SNAP!*

  • animals know when ur scared, bad confession dude

  • i think the mother eagle looks like a philippine eagle

  • It's a harpy eagle, but yes, they look similar.

  • Just punch it in the face. lol

  • i think its a harpy eagle judging by the size

  • They shouldn't be touching the nest.

They could leave their smell behind, and if the mother smells it, she might get scared away. Then the chicks would starve (or get eaten by other birds).

  • do your research. thats a bullshit wives tale.

  • In Khazakstan there are guys who capture and train eagles to kill animals as big as sheep. They feed the eagles so that they get huge.

  • If you ever post a chain letter ever again you will die in 30 mins.

    Now you're screwed. Have fun.

  • lol your dumb arent you? i dident post any chain letters since then lol. oh and like 9 hour have past since i red the message. lol youre so dumb

  • No some people actually seem to believe that a comment on youtube means anything and that is truly stupid. If thats not u then y did you post in the first place?

People posting chain letters calling me dumb is pretty much the definition of irony.

  • lol he paid me.

  • wtf, what happens next? is he dead now? and I wonder why the eagle didn't attack them, would have been scary as hell up there.

  • the baby looks like a philippine eagle.

  • its a harpy eagle

  • the eagle is more like a woman, wants to build a nest and get her claws into you lol

  • The eagle says to the guides in its nest, "Oh no you dit-int"....

  • "Do chickens have large talons?"

  • napoleon dynamite

  • Someone probably mentioned this earlier, but these are harpy eagles. Native to southern South America, they are known to carry away prey up to 30 pounds, usually marsupials or primates

  • what a piece of shit chicken :/

  • I wish I was an eagle...... :(

  • omg..would never catch me in that tree...

  • Another problem with those deadly claws is even if you manage to get away with only a scratch you still have to worry about infection. Pretty awsome vid, I might hold an eagle with a glove on but you wouldn't catch me anywhere near an eagle nest.

  • Interesting conversation... I'm intrigued by wildlife and I have a natural facsination for animals. The bird is like a rose, Beautiful but "sharp."

  • hah nice analogy

  • i literally said jeeeesus christ out loud when he was holding the talon with his hand and you could see the comparison

  • It's incredibly refreshing to see intelligent discussion and debate in Youtube comments instead of the usual flamefest I see all over the place, I salute you guys for being civil, even when you disagree.

And on that note, there were some very interesting points brought up here.

Just below, on the one about the AA community, I really haven't seen much of that "gangsta" crap outside of MTV. I've seen more white people imitating it.

And also, this vid was amazing. Beautiful bird, incredible hunter.

  • What an awesome looking animal, just beautiful.

  • obviously based on different cultural concepts from our European approach psyche....i won't say where they are at because i don't want to spoil there preciousness but i will share their lessons....i like nature but look at all BBC wildlife vids...all have some 'kill, conquer, or violence' theme...i'm not talking in air...great talking to you as well....

  • this is a q of only the 'white culture'...blacks or African Americans males have done thier soul searching...Some AA females have started thiers...a few spot groups of America whites have done theirs but the vast majority.incl Brit and Europe... troubling....a quesiton to you...do you think the white culture has influenced other cultures it has come into contact with over the past 500 years to be violent ? what is your honest insite into that q Mr or Ms noshnhoj1987?

  • yes, any dominant or "invading" culture has the potential to do great harm in "modernizing" the natives. I would have to politely disagree with your comment about AA males soul searching. It may just be where I live but I see a huge problem with black violence and how the AA culture is negatively influencing the surrounding area. I am not a violent person and would be considered "counter culture" but I have trouble understanding why the AA race would become the rap stereo type you see now.

  • the million man march was a formal launch of what many have done before and now many more after...to self examine.....that by no means means problems solved but look around the web...there are many youtube sites and others of a higher conciousness...not all are there but the momentum is on...Obama is a culmination of these thoughts from all over the world....one caring person can be a bright light in those communities...one.....

  • And many of those cultures exist in Africa....I find it quite psychologically interesting and compelling how yes the white culture and BBC as my personal experience never talk of these communities....they mostly bring out what's wrong and despair and negative things....that is a sign of a person unsatisfied with thier own seeing the world in negative light and wanting to convince others of what 'they see'... this is not a q of violence in the world...

  • True, but man has to put forth a conscious effort to stay away from violence and hold order in a community. If they have an offender in the community he or she must be delt with properly or the crime will continue. So even if a culture wants to stay peaceful they have to think about violence in order to solve any potential problems.

  • what you said is actually very deep..'delt with properly' should not have arrogance and invalidation as a part of the answer but listening which is the opposite of arrogance... women may not like to read this but they help invalidate males who learn to invalidate themselves,to me the perfect formula for the pathology in AA communities, the thoughts of those who raise them..invalidating mothers to men, which they got, from 'white women' culture.,ho blamed white men for all but still not look at self

  • i was hoping to see these men diving off the tree after seeing the mother eagle.

  • this is not racial question of negative intent but if you interpret is so so be it...why do white people still after all these years of influence by the worlds minds of other cultures still see things of nature for thier violent content? Is this a statement of the violent psyche of many still and most in past white people of European ancestry. Isn't violence a reflection of low self-esteem? Video of interest called 'killers'...Native Americans see the spiritual meaning..time to Grow bro and sis

  • i think you might be a little naive in your assumption that only white people are violent? I think you need to read all the parts of history and not just the ones that prove your point. Many cultures are based on violence. i think the conclusion to be drawn is: human nature is violent, not: white people are violent.

  • interesting comment but it has little to do with the question presented.....not an accurate interpretation of the comment and question...the question still remains...read again, take time before replying....

  • I was simply trying to address the problem with your question. So instead of wondering why a certain culture is "always" interested in the violent side of things you should ask, why it is human nature to be interested in violent aspects. As for an answer to that question, there may not be one. Man has been interested in violence and obtaining goals by violent means since the beginning of man (religious or not). This is one of those philosophical questions that can be argued extensively.

  • I'm going to take exception to that and will argue extensively with that conclusion...that man...all cultures of man ...have been violent since the beginning.....if that were true my friend....man would not be around today....take a look at the rate of todays unanswered violent culture and rate of death and decline of members in this human culture of present....this takes in account your question...how it is in the present....my friend there are many cultures today in which there is not crime!

  • True, but is it that the cultural habits have overcome this nature? Take Tibet and China for an example. The Tibeten culture is mostly peaceful due to their religious principals but it doesn't stop them from reaching a breaking point, such as lighting themselves on fire in protest. I do think you have a valid point and there is definately evidence for it but there is also evidence to support my points as well. I enjoyed discussing this, have a good day. :)

  • i don't know enough to speak or whole countries....i certainly can't say China is not violent...i don't know enough about Tibet but there are communities in the world today with little to no violence....i know of places where there has been no crime for years...where there is one sheriff...where the jail cell door is left open...where 15 y ago was the last time someone was in it...i know of places where no one goes to bed without food in belly and all have a place to sleep ...

  • Very true. All I was saying was that sometimes peace is learned as a way of life. The thing between China and Tibet is that China has been oppressing Tibet for years and in response to it the Tibeten people have not used violent force but have used suicide as an alternative means of violence. So my point was, that even peaceful cultures will resort to violence when under pressure. It's a "fight or flight" complex. That is why i think it's in human nature to want to do something by violent means.

  • There is where the definition of peace and violence has to be determined...i learned that peace is not simply the absence of violence....and that violence is not just what you do to someone else...suicide is a form of violence as i understand it....peace is actually alot or work...alot of caring and acting on it....courage to speak up, be nice, smile and act to help others, compassion wisdom....it is giving advise to keep families together and not split apart as many women's group advice is.....

  • wht kind of eagle is that its gourgiouse

  • there's a good chance the reason it's cut off, is cause the bird attacked them and they killed it

  • I want more

  • you need a shield to fight a bird like that

  • Beautiful Harpy Eagles! And to think that they were holding a male, which is generally a fair amount smaller than the female.

  • She was like, EXCUSE ME!

  • do you videos of the philippine eagle? i'd like to see one...

  • no way, i got ur chick in my hands. they fight monkeys, they know wat a hand over something small and delicate can do.

  • Harpy Eagles are my favv bird of prey!

  • Are you saying these things just to piss all these animal-lovers off? If so, then good one.

(By the way, an ostrich will crush your torso and a cassowary can slash open your stomach.)

  • what is the hosts name? has he ever been attacked? lol

  • from what i hear the females are twice the size of the males, i would be shitin my self ahhhhhhh....

  • i liked when it tried to fly away lol

  • So did they all die?

  • i thought that if you get contact with a chick their mother can smell the human scent and ditch the baby.. it was a theory? or is true to some species?

  • I don't know about the scent thing But I've read from numerous sources that some hawks will abandon their nests if a human is seen getting too close to its nest... eggs and all.

  • No that's a myth.

I rescue birds, the parents will take them back even if you handle them,

  • holy fucking shit i thought it was a griffin then i saw it was an eagle

  • i wonder what happend

  • I would be sweating my balls off if I was up in that tree.

  • She's just sizing you up,waiting to see if she should bother to attack or when.

  • I like the way you put it.
