This is good! But the reason that the creators didn't have them fall in love, is because toph is much younger than sokka...though they should have made toph the same age as aang, katara, and sokka. They make an adorable couple :)

@SuperAdviceMan Toph's character wasn't really suited to be matched up in a couple because of her tomboyish and independent nature. There is a small connection she has to The Duke which can be seen in the few episodes they're in together (starting with The Invasion), but nothing was really played out/solidified. Making her wantonly dependent on a male character (caring about they thought of her/said/did) would be in direct contrast to the profile they built up for Toph through the entire series.

This has become one of my favorite videos on YT. GREAT video, great song, and BEYOND awesome show! :)

And who knows, maybe, after the series was over and a few years past, Sokka and Suki drifted apart, and Toph and Sokka got toghether....

But honestly, even if they didn't, they still had/have a beautiful, awesome friendship, and I'm happy just that they're friends. Toph is closer to Sokka as a friend than anyone else in their world. :)
