a teammate of mine has a VFC AKS-74 he has poured money into and its now shooting 1250 rpms, has an e-trigger, reinforced gearbox and literally has the accuracy with iron sights to hit a quarter at 50 feet on the first shot. No lie. I shot it. Its scary to face.....and it works in rain, he's buried it in snow and shot it.....the thing's a tank. I'll have none of this heresy...

yeah but with the blowback mechanism you either put wear and tear on the gun unnecessarily, devote power to making that blowback action or risk mechanical failure. airsoft guns are already notoriously known for midgame failure. sure GBB pistols are fun but they waste gas and are a pain in the winter you know? lol on one of my systemas (M4A1) iv'e put alot of real gun parts on it. I also put a turbo motor and with a 12.8v battery it shoots over 1800 rpm. Of course thats not ideal but its still fun to use.

FG42's were assault rifles, not support weapons. They were made small so they could be used by paratroopers without getting snagged in the parachute cords.

they were actually used for support purposes. the recoil on them is QUITE bad due to firing a very large bullet. Think of it at a BAR but with a very uneccessarily high ROF.
