Thought i find the idea of AD Sona strange, some tipps to (probably) make it better:

1. AD needs Lifesteal as said already by MrKOHCEPBAHT and probably others

2. Try Trinity Force, I mean Sona can constantly trigger Sheen's effect

3. Pure AD won't work but maybe with a bit tanky/support items

AD sona is actually become quite popular now, and fun to play. It works - there are guides and videos and screenshots of it and everything, so for those who are skeptical... i shit you not.

AD sona works very well if you know what you're doing. Sona benefits from a very fast and low key auto attack. Building a phantom dancer early gives a very beneficial crit and attack speed. Sona's q and w don't need to lock and are therefore spammable dealing damage and self healing while proccing sheen. the passive works very well for giving extra attack damage.

AD Sona is actually good now, but expect to get bitched out for playing it. I've been doing it around 1400 in ranked and am 10W-2L with her so far in normals.

Cheezycookie has started playing AD Sona in ranked, and he's rated 1900.

actually ad sona works in normal games. Although it's heavily dependent on who you laning partner is. Not too sure about ranked tho. I'm guessing since AD soraka is actually viable in ranked, ad sona should be too.

@StonedDimitri You don't need good ratios >_>. Sona has her passive and auras. I've only been playing with AD Sona for about a week and have already racked up more first bloods and double kills than I could be bothered to count. Almost everyone underestimates Sona's damage. I walk into lane and purposefully overextend. The enemy thinks "Oh look! A free kill!". Then they get auto-attacked to death. Personally, I grab E early. Power Chord + E is basically a mini-exhaust. Then pop Q and auto-atk.

@StonedDimitri I like AD Quints + a few AD marks (rest filled w/ ArmPen) for a huge early game damage boost. And your typical Flat Armor Seals and MR per/lvl Glyphs for some early durability. 21/9/0 or 21/0/9.

D Blade > boots1 > Sheen or Sword of Occult (I prefer Sheen, but if the enemies are feeding you like no tomorrow, get SOC. It rocks w/ 20 stacks) > Zerk Boots or Swift Boots > Trinity > whatever the game calls for.

Sheen is quite amazing on AD Sona. Her cooldowns are very low.

yep did the same thing, 15 killz in a match very very powerful, but kinda squishy, (ur power makes up for it) and everyone hates u coz ur very damaging. i love her.
