Cool stuff! But not realistic, probably need another 2 carrier for the landing distance. lol That's why they've got hooks for the fighter jets when landing.

Well, there was a 30 kt headwind, the jet was empty, and the carrier was going into the wind. Add these up and you can land a 777 on a carrier.

That is impossible. There's no way around it. "Empty" planes land everyday at Paine Field after a test flight into heavy crosswinds but they do not stop in the distance given by an aircraft carrier. Even with full brakes on (which would cause a gear collapse, creating a crash and not a landing). Thrust reverser's will have to be deployed before landing, and spool up the minute the bogie's touch the deck (again impossible). And the plane would have to land at MTOW, not MLW.

well the 777 and AC carrier I used comes default on X-Plane 8 and 9. If you use FS9 or FS2002 then may I suggest the meljet 777 v2? search on google to find it. also thanx for commenting on my video. I'm glad you liked it. :)

it's actually a VERY realistic flight simulator called X-Plane. I was landing at minimal weight so that's why it may have looked impossible.
