Hey friend!..I am Carlos from Colombia and I wonder if this video is your authentic work ? you sell the video? and how much it costs? in American dollars my eMail is elgatogato@hotmail.com search me on facebook for talk about bussines...than!
This is our home in the universe.....It's so incredibly beautiful. One quote comes to mind when I watched this clip, "If we do not destroy ourselves, we will one day, journey to the stars". The man who said this was a wonderful human being. His name was Carl Sagan.,
People say the earth is beautiful, that all the tundras, forests, arctics, and deserts are beautiful, but when you think about it, the universe is beyond that beauty, somewhere out there not far from earth there are other planets with tundras, forests, arctics, and deserts that are far more beautiful than here on earth, the universe is everything we know, it contains all the knowledge the human race will ever need until the end of our species, no one knows what kind of life could be out there.
I've been to Joshua Tree national park a few times now, and the skies are incredible there. So far away from light pollution, the sky opens up to you. Even with your naked eye, you can see the distinct, cloudy haze of the milky way. It's amazing.
I'd like to know the equipment used though. How long were the exposure times, etc?
The long exposure times used to put this together are required to get views like this. However, in a really dark location, away from city lights, on a clear moonless night, you can see mind boggling views of the milky way with no equipment needed. It appears as a massive band of cloudy haze across the sky, and it will change your perspective on everything. :)
Amazing! funny I was expecting to hear Under The Milky Way song by the Church as well -- guess the video is too short for it. Breathtaking and beautiful -- what was the total recording time?
Really good but why don't people ever post information about how they shot this? What equipment was used, how many frames were taken and what interval between them.
Just amazing, in the shot at 0:15 its almost like you can see a little parallax of the closer stars and you can really feel the depth of the whole thing, fantastic work.
when would be the best time to go star gazing there at Joshua tree? i went with some friends one day but it was cloudy and the moon was so bright up there..could barely see any stars..please suggest a good time frame! thanks!
@ShavketUygurTurk You'd have to know the moon and weather phases, but I always find that the best times are in the winter and summer. Also, check with the visitors center for the National Park and ask if they know anything about star parties. Those are always a lot of fun.
I live there! And I'm so proud to say it. The Desert captures the true beauty of the sky. It's such a beautiful thing. I recommend everyone to lay out under the stars in the Desert one night. It will leave you amazed. :)

"It was a marvelous night, the sort of night one only experiences when one is young. The sky was so bright, and there were so many stars that, gazing upward, one couldn't help wondering how so many whimsical, wicked people could live under such a sky."
Stunning images! Absolutely breathtaking!

The most beautiful part in my perspective is when you understand that the earth is moving, and not the sky.
Excellent video !

can you really see these things from earth? I never saw them before, is it because of light pollution?
