dad has a 83 with a 5.0 ho pretty hard to keep rear ends and trannys in em lol im putting my 5.0 in my miata so heck with ya all lol mine will handle better
these style t-birds are a rare and unappreciated breed....if you own one or know anything about em...you kno that its just a more kick ass mustang...that just wants to go fast....i will never sell my 87 t-bird...2nd owner...old woman had it since new...her son did a 93 5.0 HO swap...4.10 frpp gears...stage 1 shift kit on rebuilt tranny wit B&M trickshift...his mom didnt like the rumble and sold it to me for 3500 cuz the guy befo me wanted to put hydros on it and chop it up...thanks much miz ladi
its possible, i had an 89 auto v6 and went through some tires. just put it in drive, hold down the brake, push the gas down to the floor and watch as smoke flows out from the right tire. if its a v6, put some bleach under the tire
sup dude thanks for your advice, i took my t-bird (86 v6 3.8 auto not 87 as i told you before )to the mechanic a month ago so he could repair the engine (replace the pistons and other parts) but he told that he isnt sure if that model could do a burnout, i think i'll just have to wait and see, by the way the other day i did a burnout with a 2000 mustang auto, but first i put it in Neutral and pushed the gas and then shifted to Drive and BANG! there was the burnout LOL
well neutral drops are killer on the tranny but it will get the job done. the cougar should be able to do a burnout. just don't do too many neutral drops or you'll see the tranny start slippin, or even blow up
Is this the turbo or the 5.0?

@Halfno 5.0, the turbo model doesn't sound as mean (It's only a 4-pot pinto engine) and you'd probably hear spool.
