Funny they should build a hit and miss this way, increadible waste of energy. Hit and misses only really work because they can hang the exaughst valve open. Is this actually a governed engine that idles poorly?
i know this is a hit and miss engine, but does it work on the 2 stroke principal of transfer ports for fuel and exhausts? ive never seen an engine of this type before

Yes this engine is a 2 cycle with a transfer chamber. It is also piston ported. It doesn't have reed valves like a dirt bike engine.

Wow. Your right. It sounds like the badger song. THIS video was posted before the badger song...it's possible it inspired the song.
It's crazy-amazing how close they sound.

ah, so it's piston-ported...they still make engines like that.

so how does it work if it's valveless?
douro20 4 years ago
The engine uses a ported skirt piston. The engine work just like the early two stroke dirt bike engine before they had reed valves.

What a great engine, I could listen to that noise all day!

This is just hardstyle!! :D

@cleland72 Im sure that if you worked in a factory around 1900 and it was powered on a franklin valveless you would!
