  • Some of these animations are kinda terrifying.

  • What a bad ending!!

  • Wolf = the US/Jews

But this is a wrong portrayal. The US/Jews are "wolf-in-sheep-clothing."

  • The state of NK animation is currently about the same as '60s-'70s Soyzmultfilm: they're mostly just ripping off more successful countries, nearly all cartoons have a nationalist theme, and the animation quality is awkward at best.

  • Drink as much water as you want your Communist Voice will still sound like a little girl gurgling nails

  • you see the wolf is actually western capitalism and chipmunk looking thing is north Korea and the fish is the woman and he harts and minds of the people of north Korea and the log is Communism

  • @yairbe5 ah wolves are western capitalism kick ass im a wolf then

  • Question, who in North Korea owns a TV? A color one no less?

  • So Kim Jong II is turning North Koreans into furries? As if they were bad enough.

  • @ElBarto3131 Nah they're just ripping off Disney and other 1940-50's kids cartoons that ironically comes from their arch enemy country. These days having the slightest knowledge about furry fandom requires internet. NK doesn't even allow the population that.

  • the racoon like as Pedobear X)

  • they sure love Racoons

  • the dog is the usa i belive and the that other thing looks like a squirrel is north korea xD

  • ...Are they implying that the West is trying to steal from them? You won't let anyone inside your country, you idiots! Why would we steal from you?

  • That has got to be the stretchiest wolf I have ever seen.

  • I really HATE it when a weird looking raccoon steals my fish and I chase him and I get stuck in a log and then the weird raccoon starts beating me in the face with a stick and then the log I am stuck in rolls into the river and I float away and the weird raccoon runs off with my fish. I mean, this sort of thing happens to me several times a week and I am SICK OF IT!

  • 1:40 They copied our PEDO BEAR !?!? WTFAak, little bastard !!!!

  • North Korean furries are the last thing I wanna see...

  • hm.. weird o-o

  • 3:04 - Squirrel style'd

  • That wolf needs to stop licking its ass... that hairball problem he has is simply out of control.

  • Vry freaking cute. Love these babes.

    Esp. the cute lil animals.

Not much about the wolf tough.

  • I think the wolf symbolizes south Korea because a traditional trend in nk propaganda is that sk steals from them then gets pissed when they take it back japan is Americas bitch and america is a crazy asshole

  • The one place I never expected to see furries...

  • This would make normal children shit themselves.

  • I feel sorry for North Koreans having to watch this shit

  • The wolf symbolizes japan??

  • @lolomg31 hamster symbolizes our great leader Kim Dong Il, wolf symbolizes rest

  • wolf should have eaten the fat bastard

  • lol nice topic this cartoon has...They are fighting for food... XD

  • well, i would really like to know what they are saying.

other than that, I like how the animation is very smooth and yet weird.

  • i didnt know there is an animation in north korea .

  • what is this? a cheap rip-off of 'The tales of Brere Rabbit and Brer Wolf'? (Don't know if I'm spelling that right. Nice series of stories though. One of my favs as a kid.

  • СССР 50-х годов!!! Один к одному и тоже самое

  • itchy and scrachiy?

  • actually, worker and parasite.

  • a raccoon dog? looks like a fox

  • technically, the north koreans have an impressive talent in animation.

ideologically, this is a 21st century cartoon with a world war 2 kind of propaganda.

  • @johorean88 Indeed...

  • @johorean88

They are REALLY behind on technical stuff, but, the North's asian. What do you expect? They HAVE to be good at animation :P

  • This is almost like soviet cartoon that I watched many years ago. Brings back memories...

  • north korean street dogs

  • The girl at the end really scares me!!!

  • Gwonam: In this written: Only Racoon Dog is a True face of Evil.

  • Maybe she is the true face of evil.

  • How old is this cartoon?

    (i'd say it's about 65 years old---)

  • this is pretty cool ::D

  • I have seen some of these animation and i got to tell you this is powerfull

the poor kids must say hevry day GO COMUNISM GO GO GO

    men thats sick

  • north Korea is fascist not communist

  • well i have read comunist dinasty

sut if im am wrong sorry

and thans for the heads up

  • well, It's government descends from a communist... the USSR

the korean war was part of the cold war in which, the soviets occupied the north and the americans in the south.

Even north korea's Kim Il Sung was born in the USSR

  • This is what happens when a country gets such a controlling leader who brainwashes it's citizens.

  • Lennon sucked

  • Living life in peace ??????

    I dont think so

  • ...are you stuuuuupid?

  • noooo but peace in the world ??

    im sorry but thats impossible

    and war is necesary

    thats just my opinion

  • boy am I glad to have been born ANYWHERE else but in that country. They can take there shitty cartoon. Personally I would rather watch Teenage Mutant ninja turtles any day!

  • @lothor1234 thank god you are from the killer's side

  • @lothor1234 can't tell if trolling... or just stupid.

obviously this was like 20 years aho, cartoons were like this everywhere

so many idiots in this world :(

  • If North Korea has time and money to make a cartoon like this, they should use that time and money to give them food to the poor in the streets!

  • The real bad wolf is Kim Yong il....

  • shhhh... you don't want them coming over and taking you and your family to their *dramatic voice* concentration camp... dun dun duuuuuun

  • I lol'd

  • I have no clue what they're saying but that wolf looks anorexic.

  • @KurtmanJP Well duh, it's a North Koran wolf.

  • @KurtmanJP

Yes, Just like most of the people in the country.

  • @KurtmanJP surely you are a fat ballon yourself :)

  • @KurtmanJP Even the wolf is suffering from famine

  • @KurtmanJP but in pretty good shape for a north korean one XD

  • @KurtmanJP

    I guess it's to show he's hungry..

  • Why are you guys talking about war?

    ENJOY THE CARTOON.

It's things like this that make me question my safety in the US.

    Wars scare me.

  • Oh yeah whoever downed my comment is a douche.

Why can't the world just have peace instead off all this hate?

  • What is the synopsis of this cartoon?

  • The synopsis is the raccoon caught a fish and is in a good mood but a lonely starving wolf comes by with a scratchy throat. He claims he has a thorn stuck in his throat and he asks the raccoon to check it for him.

  • In some scenes, the wolf's face looks like a chinese dragon.

  • @tonilourdes: True, US didn't even do anything in the war, until the japs bombed them. Except from that they just stood there and watched.

@butteryblue: No, Sweden was neutral under World War 2.

  • Well, officially they were neutral; however, the Swedes allowed Germany free access to their territory and collaborated with them throughout the war. Not surprisingly, they don't teach that in Swedish schools...

  • I'm aware of that, but we didn't have any choice. Soviet stalinists that wanted to stalinize or german nazis that almost everyone was against?

We did allow them to access to some of our territory, but not the whole of Sweden. We did only allow them to drive their trains trough Sweden and break out iron.

They do teach it in schools, but not so much of it of course under the corrupt capitalism. You should also be aware of that they teach about WW2 in 9th grade, and I'm in the 7th grade atm

  • Im South Korean..but i hate north korea..

    but its pretty ok.

  • The cruelst animation for kids I ever seen. The end is shitty.

  • Long live North Korea!

  • let me guess... the starving wolf is western capitalism and democracy and the cute furry raccoon dog is communism. such a great analogy! (please see the sarcasm!)

  • capitalism is not democracy...

  • did I say capitalism is democracy? No. I was making a speculation about how N. Korea hates the US's form of government. I watched all the other N. Korean videos and I just guessed this was a propaganda video also. And thanks manekineko1984Ew for clearing up that this was Indeed a folk tale.

  • believe it or not this is a korean folk tale the other cartoons are propaganda.

  • FACT: Raccoon dogs are the 3rd leading cause of death in the DPRK. Behind starvation and suicide.

  • Unfortunately they have no mind or will of their own.

  • "and the fish the racoon will eat, represents the people of north korea"

  • in the animation of chrachter wolf means that america... tragical fact....

  • wait wat? the wolf represents the U.S?

  • ..... sounds like your sympathetic to the ideas of the North Korean propoganda...... kinda sorta takes away the moral legitamecy of your beliefs.....

  • False.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA! You mock America, but what has Finland ever done for the world... Lets look at America: Biggest finacer (both by % and strait up)of fighting AIDS, biggest reason for defeat of Nazi and communist, etc, etc. What about Finland? Don't mock us when you havn't even started to be better than us

  • Well, no, in GDP percentage terms, the US is amongst the smallest OECD donors and is also the most meagre on its own welfare & health systems. But, I do agree that American is doing tons of great projects.

Also, I'm not Finnish, I'm Australian. You know Australia. We're one of those countries dumb enough to follow you into Iraq. Also known as "Project Quagmire" ;)

  • I've actually never heard it called project quagmire.... So why would you think it's called project quagmire? People only call the Iraq war a Quagmire because of wishful thinking, unfortunately. I don't think we should have gone in, but I also don't think this war is a quagmire.

  • Well, I'd call it that because there doesn't seem to be a foreseeable victory condition. The declaration of "Mission Accomplished" by President Bush doesn't actually mean it's a success ;) So the most likely end to the war, as I see it, is a troop withdrawal and a civil war.

I can also see the various allies slowly withdrawing, while the US is increasing its presence...

Don't get me wrong. I do think a wholesale withdrawal and leaving the country to collapse would be fine.

  • Soviet union defeated the Nazi US did not. US can´t even fight AIDS inside USA. Most stupid and brainwashed people are US world records.

  • Sweden remained neutral during World War II, despite the involvement of all its neighbors.

  • All three statements are so blatantly factually incorrect.

  • Most hilarious animation I've seen for ages :D

  • If the wolf is hungery, then why the fuck does it act like it's chokeing?

  • Not much of propaganda, but much like of Aesop's tales.

  • There's actually a lot behind this. The Japanese wolf is trying to take the fish from the tanuki, it's an allegory for the trouble between Japan and Korea.

  • 0_o, the Japanese wolf needs to steal food from the North Korean?

I find that amusing on so many levels.

  • I think, there is no mention about Japan. The Thing which looks like wolf is,actually, dhole.

  • well they think that japanese was the one that made korean war happen, which it did mostly, that means taking south korea away from them (indirectly). without japanese occupation, there would have never been a korean war. the north koreans are still very angry towards the japanese

  • america, shallow streams make most din!!!! ha ha ha ha ha... :)))

  • The cartoon is week, Americans make better cartoons even in the 1930S

  • Naaah... I don't know about that.

But have in your mind that this is a totally different culture...

  • that singing's enough to make your ears bleed.

  • TERRIBLE sound quality

  • Actually, I know some Korean and this tale is supposively based off of an old Korean folk tale I once read. So the story is older than the Korean war

I actually don't blame the tanuki for being scared of the wolf, he is kind of creepy looking. Would you want to trust someone that scary and weird?

BTW, the tanuki is so cute.

  • I'm korean and evan I HATE this animation!

  • Of course you hate this! Communism is anti-humanism.

  • do u ken wat there sayin lyk?

  • The first thing that they said at the first part of the story was "There was a young racoon that caught a BIG fish and is returning to his house" The the wolf said "Poor me... I can't talk! My throat! It hurts! I can't speak.." and such... Does that help?

  • i don't think of propaganda but this is boring and it has no sense of creativity.

  • I wonder what an eventual english dubbing would sound like...

"Pathetic imperalistwolf, the international proletariat will crush your borguise-machinery!" or something like that ;)

  • north koreans have a really heavy accent. It's quite funny.

  • obviously propaganda

  • Idiot koreans.

  • long life to north korea comics!

  • Do North Korea have weird accent?

  • Of course, It's very different with South Korea:)

  • hmm, actually North Norway also have weird dialect:)

  • another great video teaching kids that north korea helped out some people only to get their backs stabbed. so when you see a jap, don't be afraid to hurt them like they tried to do to us!

-.-;; so hard to understand with the accents.

  • Oh give me a fucking break.

I'm tired of listining to your superfluous cross cultural tension with Japan. Are you one of those noobs who believe that Takeshima is Korean property under the name of "dokdo"?

    Give me a fucking break.

  • are you talking to me? you realize i was being sarcastic right? my gosh. chill out, i was trying to make fun of NK propaganda.

  • Typefaces are so confusing!

    My bad :(

  • wtf

  • 너무 잘 보았어요. 정말 귀한 영상 고마워요.

  • This is much more the same as soviet school of animation. Which was builded versus W.Disney and other Hollywood toonmakers. I think animators learnt in USSR. There were a lot of NK people over here in Russia in past times. :) May be even now many of them learn here.

  • That raccon probably represents the village whore. The wolf is the pimp. ching chong wyong nipo katon ryiachi fo so tu no poo " THe wolf backdoored the raccon"

  • lolol^^

  • lol @ all the responses. How is this any different than the selfish american kids who wont give the rabbit some trix????

  • the wolf is North Korea and the raccoon is South Korea. We're always having to help their sorry asses and what do we get in return?

  • Couldn't understand a word.

  • how did you manage to smuggle this out of north korea?

  • The poster of this video is from the North Koran government.

  • But there's no Internet in North Korea.

  • no, they have internet network.

  • no, south korea. It says his favorite show is South Korean TV Drama.

  • pretty good drawing of the wolf

  • the animator of this cartoon was probably forced to do this at gunpoint.

  • lol probably not

  • This is no more "propaganda" than your average Walt Disney short. Its just a story about a tanuki protecting his fish (and probably himself) from an ungrateful wolf.

  • This is a little disturbing. The raccoon wasn't being selfish though, the wold said he'd first eat the fish and then the raccoon as well("The fish alone won't fill my stomach now would it?").

  • lol funny shit

  • i know Korean, and when i hear the words its just sooo offensive. its probably an old cartoon, but things hasn't changed. i wish the people would just realize the truth and destroy the north Korean government and unite Korea under the banner of democracy.

  • What DID they say?

  • agreed im korean too and the wolf also wanted to eat some of the fish but the racoon was too selfish

  • Wow. If this was an american cartoon, the racoon would feel remorseful to the wolf and then help it get out, and the wolf would thank him and they'd be friends FOREVER. Seems like either the north koreans are ruthless or america full of pansies

  • that sort of copied The Sword in The Stone when the wolf goes in the log and falls in to a river.

  • I think it represents the "Innocence" of north Korea and the Wolf represents the States trying to "take what little they have." This is crap lol. And maybe they think that somehow they helped the US and it turned on them... *Sigh*

  • Crap propaganda...

  • kim jong ill is infinitely more messed up in the head than Bush, so don't even try that. Absoolute faith in a leader who has failed them up till now isnt what I call "perfect"

  • What did the wolf say to upset the raccoon dog?

  • nothing, he just wanted to eat and the raccoon was probably selfish

  • Dont really care. We got kids in the rest of the world watching everything from southpark to crappy reality shows. And besides, history is full of tales for children with a political tone. Like tom & jerry f.eks...

  • Looks to me like an innocent cartoon. Just because it's in North Korea doesn't mean it's for a political agenda.

  • The squirrel represents the immovable will of the Korean people and their absolute faith in the dear leader and his prefect juche people based rule. While the wolf represents the ruthless gangster bush and his villanous rape of the Korean people.

  • wow... Kids watch this...So violent. When the squirrel attacks the wolf, he says "DIE" "DIE". Moral of the story. Bad people should die. I feel bad for the children
