@kweenie21 You won't get the same density with hot rollers at you would with a dry set, so not the same result. But you're free to try it out for yourself ;)

@xxreikexx I use hairspray and pomade to finish the look. How long the stay in depends on your hair type and climate. If you're in humid climate maybe you would want to spray a setting lotion in to the hair before you roll, it'll help.

I love this hair style!! I've done it a couple times now and just today got it to look the way I wanted it to. I have long layered dark hair and the first few times I did this I used 1.5" soft foam rollers and just couldn't get the back to look right. This time I used 7/8" soft foam rollers and that was what I needed. It turned out beautiful! I'm sorry I can't attach pictures to show you. Thank you for doing this! It's beautiful & I always get lots of compliments when I do this hairstyle *hug*

@yecanhavemebooty I always keep my hair parted on the side, so it's cut from that parting. I cut my own hair (..) so it's not really layered all that much, just a little bit. The longest part is in the back and then it get's shorter towards my face. But, layers is GREAT for vintage hairstyles! I just don't wanna go to the hairdresser.. don't trust 'em! :p

@saskeia I would recommend over night, whenever the style allows it. However, for these tutorials I sometimes don't follow that rule. I think this was five-six hours or something like that. With pin curls, especially, six hours is a minimum! Whenever I do a full pin curl set I have the curls in 10 to 12 hours. :)

@crazyalison1995 That would be cool :p Unfortunately I don't. I can certainly sleep in a regular pin curl set and wear it as an everyday hairstyle. Which I try and do as frequently as possible. (whenever I have the energy to start on the setting after work;) More elaborate things like this, I save for a night time out! :) But a pin curl setting is equally beautiful in my opinion. Maybe more..? ;)
