  • my favorite album. jeanluc GALIANA

  • amazing album - well ahead of its time and the inspiration for much future progressive metal bands.

  • i & some friends met QR in the OM tour 1988.

i told Geoff "u got the best voice dude" he replied.."don't you forget it" he was awesome.

Eddie & Michael were all business.

Chris was super ski high on something and a nice guy, all smiles.

And Scott was on a mission to bed my girlfriend, (wow!) he failed.

  • Major 80's moment at 2:09

  • Eddie, my Texan hottie!!!♥ ♥ ♥

  • Man,i'm into 70' and early80's metal/har rock, never heard this band lol.only reconize the singer from "live aid".Preatty good saw their video with dio ,good jam.But wait ...8 octave vocal range, guess this is barelly impossible.or not?peace!

  • My favorite Queensryche album too. Too far ahead of it's time to be fully apreciated.

  • Ryche On!

  • seattle=best bands in the USA ever

  • I love Queensryche Dressed Like Vampires and Geoff Tate had an 8 octave vocal range!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • First thanks for posting this!! This IS my favorite Ryche album ever and then comes Mindcrime, but this is great start to finish....also Eddie Jackson has probably the best sounding bass tone ever! Geoff kills evrything on this one as well as Mike and Chris . Totally kicks ass!!

  • Ryche n Roll \m/!

  • This is what metal is all about - power, technique, harmonies, riffs and great vocals...................Ryche on my friends...

  • goeff is so amazing with his perfect vocals at the end!!!

i loved rage for order!! it is the best album

  • this ranks right up there with operation mindcrime, super album,

  • I dislike geoff's mullet in the video for Stars. I just guess it was "in" at the time:)

  • always the most unique album in rock history

  • this album was so way ahead of his time 24 years ago that still it is today.

  • Ryche's most underrated work!

  • any mic Geoff sings through is gonna sound good no matter what...

  • Those Kramers were Killer!!!

  • Eddie Jackson is fuckin awesome!

  • i second that emotion...

  • haha, Chris.''he's also a slave driver.'' he and michael have such soothing, sweet voices.

  • To What kind of microphone Geoff is singing ? Neumann ?

  • yes neuman u-87

  • Thanks Bro ! I wasnt sure which model. Quite expensive though...

  • Neil is quite the producer. Nowadays he is the producer for multiple death metal bands. as well as nevermore.

  • So that's what Neil Kernon looks like. I have always wondered every time I see his name on an album credit. Thanks for this. Oh, and I love watching Chris talk. So soft-spoken and polite.

  • Agreed agreed agreed. They changed my life as well h0d3d0.

  • @tdupuy me too !!! :)

  • without a doubt their best CD ever!!!

  • I couldn't agree with you more. It's strange that the cover song, Gonna Get Close To You, attracted me to this CD. Buying a used copy on Amazon was well worth the wait

  • never seen this before. Queensryche is the best! thanx for posting.

  • Gee Off the Elvis Mullet days.

  • Musicaly and lyrically, Queensryche is between the most complete and inteligent bands, just like YES, Floyd, some others.

Unfortunelly the´re v. underated. They sound like they have no bounds to compose melodies and arrengemnets. V. wise guys.

  • I don't find it unfortunate that they're underrated.

  • It changed everything about my life. Until Queensryche, I thought Bruce Dickinson was the be-all end-all of hard rock metal vocals. And then Queensryche/Geoff Tate came along to teach me something else. I mean, it totally changed my life! Thank you, Queensryche, for nailing what it was that I needed to feel at that time in my life

  • i agree with you.. same happened to me until i heard john arch from fates warning sing..

  • John Arch sounds like he took some speed before he laid down the vocals for Fata Morgana. its like his heart will stop if he quits singing. The man just won't stop!

  • The cameraman caught THE vocal part that was used on the album because Geoff only does one. He goes in the booth and nails it, Why try to improve on perfection. ONE TAKE GEOFF!!!

  • this is imo the greatest testament to why he was the best ever,,, who the fuck can go and sing somthing like this in one take....

  • He was untouchable at this time. A once in a lifetime voice.

  • true

  • very true

  • "Rage For Order" was my introduction to Queensryche and "Walk In The Shadows" remains one of my favorite songs EVER. So cool to see them putting it together.

  • Geoff Tate is the best... hands down, and I'm huge fan of Halford (Sad Wings, Stained Class)

era. Queensryche is genius...creativly, lyricaly and musically.

Rage and Warning are my fave's

  • Who among us hasn't sat in a darkened room and just listened to I Will Remember and not been moved by it. Side B in particular was very moody...right from the beginning of Neue Regel.

  • Great album! Love the old QR so much!

  • 1986 i was in another mind setting...simple minds, Heart, Genesis. Too bad i missed this until 1988 when I got introduced to Queensryche/Heavy Metal.

  • i remember picking up "rage" at our "new" local walmart..i was in 8th no maybe 9th grade at the time, been awhile. i remember i had never heard of them, but i was always looking for something new. one listen and i was blown away! still my fav 'ryche lp.

oh, and one more thing, my original copy was not a cd.

  • We almost got the same story to tell.Been also in 9th grade...never heard anything of them until I heard them on the radio for the first time(Chemical Rebellion)and the original copy was a record...not a CD. Same story...different country.

  • i like operation mindcrime and rage for order. but i like empire the best.

  • Yeah i like all of those albums

  • Rage for Order is by far the best Queensryche cd of all time. The atmosphere is incredible, and the more you listen to the album, the more you'll find. Very talented stuff. They were at the height of their creativity at this point. Too bad Geoff's voice isn't like this anymore.

  • I can't agree more..This album is incredibly atmospheric. If you look at the Ryche catalog, so much of their earlier material sounds a bit dated. Rage is just as fresh now as it was 20 plus years ago. Now they would be called "industrial". This is the pinacle of their creativity..in my humble opinion.

  • I disagree. I've heard Geoff in concert at a small live venue and his voice is as birlliant as ever. I find it gets darker and sexier as he gets older. Listen to their new "Take Cover" album and you will see.

  • This is one of my VERY fave albums! It's great to have found this video!! Love Queensryche! Jeff's voice is just gorgeous! :D

  • Awesome record, band and production - NK rules. Thanks for sharing this.

  • Burrrrrrn! LOL

  • What a great video because this is my favorite Queesnryche CD. It wasn't at first, but now it's my favorite by far. Though the songs themselves aren't as heavy as their other albums, the guitar solos are just killer. Rage and Operation were the peak of Queensryche for me.

  • vi vi la - KERNON!!!

  • CRAZY vid...it's like the camera LITERALLY caught Geoff as he was doing the vox for the album...the part they show is EXACTLY as it is on the album...(trust me, I've dissected this record...)

    Fantastic.

  • Look closer

  • eddie jackson's bass sound is so sweet.

this whole band is totally awesome. =)

  • NICE! Love Queensryche, love finding cool old footage like this. It's amazing what people still have that they videotaped over 20 years ago. Thanks mang!

  • This is one of my faorite albums(cd's for todays brothers and sisters)

  • ...damn it...in '86 i wasnt into metal, i just heard Heart, Julian Lennon, Duran, Mr.Mister, shit i missed it. Not until '88 someone hit me w/a Operation Mindcrime tape and the rest is history...

  • my favorite queensyche album!! still hoping some day they will make a similar album....Thanks for posting!!!!!

  • yep my fave 2 thanks and hens teeth should be changed to rage ryche! rare as

  • Wow, extemely rare footage, very cool! I agree with the previous comment about how ahead of its time this album was, in terms of production, sound, atmosphere. Think about the other things being released in 1986...it was so different. Brilliant album!!!

  • Rage for Order was an album that was FAR ahead of its time. Both RFO and The Warning albums are true masterpieces. These albums both showcase an extreme amount of creative diversity and raw talent.

  • THANK YOU SOM MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!!!

  • Thank you so much for posting this!

  • Wow thank you....i have been a ryche fan for at least 12 years now and this is my favorit album by far....amazing to see this rare footage....wow!

  • Real cool stuff!!

  • my FAVORITE Queensryche album! Extremely rare vid here, THANK YOU so much for posting! And this piece confirms that this album was one of the most strongest AND creative/expiramental Ryche album out there!

  • cool

  • very cool!!thx!!funny they have their hairdos from the album's pics.

  • OMG,I LOVE LOVE LOVE this!! :D

And this is a kickass album!

  • Awesome! A very rare piece of footage in Queensryche footage. Really neat to see how they recorded that masterpiece.

    Thanks for sharing!
