@bertthepickle I am wondering the same thing. Why the long pauses ? It seems to be more prevalent in the European tournaments recently.....Probably all for show, but this causes the practitioner to loose the sharpness and speed that was once seen . I for one think it is a step backward.
Definitely not a traditional version it has been altered a lot for tournament competition. Too bad, the original flow & rhythm actually helps one locate the bunkai, etc.
@Nerubio None taken, that is why I feel that tournament kata loses so much. Its like a pretty woman with lots of make up on. Wash away the make up and all you have is an ugly old hag. X-P
dategli qualcosa per il mal di gola. che odio quando alle gare sento sti cazzo di rumori.

Not super traditional, pretty showy, but overall, no one can doubt that he's good.

When did kata become so slow? And full of strange pauses? Still, he's very athletic :(

@Nerubio I agree. This is just pretty movement with no substance. Sport Karate. With this type of timing, there is no possibility of workable bunkai.

Beautifully done - loving 1:40 - I've got mixed feelings on if that is proper karate - but it looks beautiful, nonetheless.
I giggled @ 1:22 - BOOM! HEADSHOT! :')
