  • i love the sound of the chapey and the ahyay performance...i can listen to these all day! thanks for the post its beautiful!!!

  • Had listened to the NPR report on him this past year streamlined and had hoped to one day hear this music again in between visits to Cambodia. thank you for posting this.

  • Dickiechappell, I appreciate that you posted this-- it is nice and I love it, but please call this correctly by its name, "Champey" and "ahyay" performance. Delta blues is very much mis-represented to people who don't know this is the REAL Khmer champey tradition, which deserve proper credit.

  • I agree to what you said, angelchouk. if we proud our tradition, we should keep using what we used to say in the past. Nice comment Angelchouk. Anyway, thx for uploading this incredible video to every khmer people at abroad like me, dickiechappell. i'll put it in my ipod.

  • His voice and guitar just hits the Khmer soul.

  • អស្ចារ្យខ្លាំងណាស់!!!

  • I love Chapey and ahyay music. It is an old Khmer tradition. I hope that this type of music will continue to flourish into the future.
