The reason Mia's speed went down, (and this is more to the viewers than him) is because of the weight of the item.

The items weight that you have equipped - strength = X Speed - X =Attack speed. four more AS than you enemy = a double.

he may not look it but i think if you read his character bio it says he is around 27 whilst ike is 17 in this game i think?

I think I recall Soren using the term "Laguz" and appearing uncomfortable when Shinon was displaying his racial prejiduce.

I know the deal with Soren I just...thought I'd remind anybody who had forgotten that he earlier did not display racism against the Laguz, at least not openly. Not before Lethe decided to shoot her mouth off ^_^;

What do the bands do? do they class up the unitd in the name?

They have nothing to do with class ups. Specific bands increase the rate at which certain stats increase at level up. For example, a unit wearing the fighter band, when he/she levels up, there is a better chance that strength and HP will increase during that level up, because those two stats are common strengths of fighters/warriors. Other bands have the same effect, but with different stats. Sword Bands use speed and skill, for example.

in RD she has crazy skill, so you get many flares if you promote her to Arch Sage

For most of the early bosses. Right now my Ike is pretty well leveled up, so the kills are unnecessary since once he gets to Level 20, he can't gain experience anymore (until his class up)

The story really starts to develop more once you enter Gallia and complete this chapter. I always thought Chapter 9 was pretty simple, so you shouldn't really have a problem.

I wouldn't recommend using either Mordecai or Lethe - they get outclassed by some Laguz later in the game. If you really want to use one, though, Mordecai is the way to go. Lethe doesn't really have enough strength to be useful in later chapters.
