She is so good...and that very first audition on BGT I was holding my breathe waiting to see what comes out of Susan and when she sang that first note i was blow away. and to see Simon's Face was priceless.

Anyone would be heartless to dislike Susan Boyle, or to begrudge the success that she has achieved. From a vocal standpoint however, her singing really isn't where it needs to be for her to sustain herself on her own merit as a vocalist. There IS a voice there, but her nerves and her stiffness make live performances anything but soothing and enjoyable for me as a listener. I love you Susan, but please... RELAX!!!!!

She is a diamond , Shining & beautiful, inside & out. I don't know her personally but I'd be willing to bet she's the real thing & a doll.. There's nothing wrong with her looks , weight or age. None of those things have a thing to do with weather a person can sing or act . I really don't understand why so many people try to put those things before talent anyway . Her singing always gives me chills ,good ones of course, since the first time I heard her. She's great.

I adore Susan, but I hate to say that nobody, and I mean nobody, can sing this song like Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers. His rendition sends chills up my spine every time I hear it. Not the old version, but the version from the movie "Ghost" where he hits all the high notes. It doesn't get any better than that.

I hope I'm wrong but in this song Susan's voice seem to break in some parts, especially at 2:44-45. Is Susan slowly losing her voice? I hope not.

@8javed No worries, she’s not losing her voice. The fans who were in the audience reported that she did fine on the first take. However, on this second take that was televised, she may have had some problems with the dry ice affecting her.  Just this weekend, she beautifully sang Unchained Melody on the UK’s “Strictly Come Dancing” with rave reviews.

@8javed She does have a natural quality to her voice that she seems to use for some ballads, as sort of breathy, raspy sound that goes with the song...as in Autumn Leaves. But she can still hit those high notes when its called for. I will say her voice is delicate and is sometime effected by climate and the elements...as with most singers. I love to hear her sing, no matter what style she uses.

It's really pathetic how people listen to no talents like Britney Spears and Ke$ha who have absolutely NO TALENT and use autotune constantly, just because they are so pretty and young. Susan may not be the skinniest, most beautiful singer in the world, but at least she has talent and a good heart. :)
