@Stratery It depends if you like a good first person shooter rpg with pretty good gunplay, than pick fallout 3. But if you like a good game with good gunplay and not as much aimed towards rpg, then pick fallout nv. my personal opinion is fallout 3 one reason is that it has a bigger map.

@Stratery I personally enjoyed Fallout: New Vegas more, that is because you can mod your weapons and there is a wider range of weapons. Iron sights is really cool, the zoomin in fo3 sucks imo. I never played the dlc's of FO:NV but the ones of FO3 except the pitt were pretty lame to me. I'd say Fallout: New Vegas because unarmed and melee weapons got a LOT better, also special unarmed moves and melee moves are pretty cool, and the guns are just a lot better in new vegas.

Also love the option to create things at camp fires and the option to create purified water out of empty bottles and also love the bedroll they added with lonesome road , the only thing i do not understand is why they did not add these things sooner and why they removed the recipes for creating weapons like in fallout 3 , some can be found in the game but do not work yet all the parts can be found through out the wasteland , no idea why they decided to ditch them !

I dont understand why you do not like the survival aspect of this game , i love it it is the main reason why i like new vegas better then fallout 3 , hardcore mode and things like jury rigger and the ammo perks etc it adds more depth to the gameplay , i hope skyrim will have a hardcore mode aswell allthough i have my doubts that it will , but it has to make a return in the next fallout game , and i have a feeling that a new fallout will come sooner then we expect !

@beastmodebjj gun runners when you hit level 15-25 you can buy it like 8000 but honestly bro the gun it pretty overpowered you only need it for big guys like deathclaws for most npcs i suggest a hunting rifle with long range scope in crouch theres honestly no sway of the gun because its only 8 pounds

@jimbobiss I prefer the Hunting Rifle, When fully modified it's a very stable platform for long-range sniping and overall combat. In fact, the increased magazine size of the fully upgraded hunting rifle coupled with the higher damage per shot, faster reload speed and very high durability make it a viable, if not better alternative than the standard sniper rifle and its unique variant. It also has the most magnified scope of any sniper rifle when the scope modification is attached...

@thisguy1ify you can fix it with varmint rifles, but only with the jury rigging perk. If you don't, use weapon repair kits, repairing it to full condition is way more expensive than just buying it pristine from Gun Runners

@BrBoomr its completely random. you can save up lots of caps and buy one from the gun runners near the entrance of new vegas though they are extremely expensive in good condition and if u go near the hills by cottonwood cove there is a unique sniper rifle in a case with ammo. u can buy a rifle and simply put a scope on it. But the badass of all snipers is the anti material rifle extremely expensive most of the time and extremely rare 2 find off of a dead body. Hope this helps and happy sniping

Love the weapon, and I'm saving up for the Anti-Material rifle, I was hoping to get it from a NCR with the cool armor, but I only managed to get the armor itself.

The Remnants Power Armour is heavier than the T-51b Power Armour. You can get it by doing Arcade Gannon's sidequest or by getting the helmet in Silver Peak Mine and the Armour itself in the Deathclaw Promontory, which is across the river from the Cliffside Prospector Camp. New vegas was the first fallout game i played, and at first i didnt enjoy too much because i was such a noob. But one sunday when i got grounded i played it for like 7 hours and now im totally hooked. One of the best, if not the best, games i have ever played.

I have a few dislikes about the game, the fact that you can only get 15 perks (20 With current DLC) the fact that some terrain within the map boundaries is unaccessable, for example. Trying to get to Hoover Dam, that was a pain, and I searched the internet constantly for a video telling me how to get to it. Eventually swam up to it far enough to fast travel to it. Another thing was the Brotherhood, had to jump so many effing hoops to finally get power armor training. Nevertheless, It's worth it.

the only thing i hate about new vagas is the amount of doors you have to walk through to get to the strip or any part of the city ahaha coz you cant fast travel inside witch is annoying with quest, eg you have to travel to north free side and go through the gate then you have to go through another gate then the gate to get into the strip even the ones after :/ yeah its not overly bad but like for a quest where you have to talk to some dude can be annoying

@koga394 i have the latest patch gobi's still good. It used to have a x5 crit multiplier making it way overpowered. It has 1 or 2 less DAM than sniper rifle but higher accuracy, rate of fire and looks badass, Also it has low ap cost making it a good option for vats crit. What do you snipe with. Every gun i listed i used a hell of alot and researched on the fallout wiki, taking in dam and dps and handload ammo and vats.

Best rifles- 1) ycs, 2) gobi 3) amr 4) sniper 5) hunting. I dont like being overpowered so i roll with hunting rifle. Good tip if your only gonna snipe with AMR pick trait which gives you 20% increase rate of fire but 20% less accuracy. AMR accuracy is 0.002 ,so even 20% less accuracy means its still most accurate sniper.
