It is essentially, as commonly in North America, legends are made in either one of the 4 big major sports of baseball, basketball, football, and golf. Hockey, as I said, has leagues in North America, Europe, and Russia. Golf has tours all over the world including the areas hockey is played professionally. I'm not saying golf blows away hockey in terms of popularity, but in reality, golf has a secure place ahead of hockey in terms of prominence. Hockey in some US cities barely survives.
