The guy below asked about a mother plant. If you keep your mother plant in the veg room under a flurescent light it will stay a mother plant if you keep it lit up for 18 hours and off six per 24hours. doing this you can cut clones off it as long as you want. I had my NL mother for three years. After I grew a clone from her to make a new mother, I put the Old Mommie out side to flower. I first gave her six months to rest without taking any more clones from her. I got just over 1lb from her.

I cut my own clones this time and used rooting gel and put them into 2 inch rockwool cubes. I had them under a florescent light for about a week, with a dome, and they all looked nice and green and healthy, but no roots after the first week. I put a heating mat under the tray 3 days ago, and now they are all drooping and look terrible. I am removing the brown and wilting leaves and triming off the ends of the rest that are starting to yellow. So after ten days I do not see any roots.

few questions, if you clone one a plant, will your mother plant still go through the flowering stage or keep growing? if so how many times could you clone the mother plant? could i grow year round by continuously cloning the mother plants?

also what is the liquid seaweed brad you got at wallmart? i am using MG on my outdoor and i was looking for some thing to add for a micronutrient supplement i take it that would be ideal ,as im guessing the N P K is low and it is mainly micronutrient, ,also when talking about it i noticed you said that you mist during the bud stage, i have heard that you dont do that because the humidity needs to be really low during budding,because hight humidity will hinder thc production by the trichomes

the heater was enough to heat a queen size waterbed to like 80 or hight so im sure it could be used to heat like 50 of those trays,im just afraid that it will burn out with only a little water and being used to heat such a small amount of water.trays

i have an old waterbed heater,it has a thermostat and a probe,a dial so you can set the temp, i was wondering if i could use that for a heating pad or if it would be too hot,i had an idea of getting a plastic tray ,large enough for about 3 of those clone tray/domes and placing the mat in the trayand maybe the probe too,you tell me,then lining the tray with plastic liner or a trashbag and filling the tray with a little water,then floating the clone trays in the other tray,what do you think?

oh one more thing , my plantes are just starting to bud,so is it too late to take a clone cutting? i also hear that cutting should be taken from the bottom,so does that mean that if i top a plant i cant use the top i cut off as a cutting?they also say to flush the plants of nitrogen and not to cut till atleas 3days after feeding

think it has any hormone or root promoter, im not sure but i think it is supposed to be used with something else ,like a rooting hormone, so what should i use with it?like dip it in a rooting hormone and then use the olivias get to seal the stem?

also you say to remove the yellow leaves ,but i ahve heard to leave them on ,because they will starve if you cut them,i heard they feed on them ,or do you just mean brown leaves?

do you know what is inside those power cloners? is it just one of those mist makers ? or a heating pad and a mister,like the submersible ones,or an ultrasonic humidifier? and do the stems just poke through a hole in the mist,and not have any media at all? like no net pots with pellets or anything?also i hear that the pat pellets arent that good ,and that root bark plugs are better,also what do you recomned to dip the cuttings in,for a rooting hormone? i have some olivias cloning gel but i dont

I heard if you grind up aspirin to a powder, you can use that powder as a rooting hormone. Can anyone who has tried this method give me results on how there cuttings turned out?

@GanjaFarmer760 I have rooted plant cuttings using willow bark(wich is the same as aspirin).I saw no differance to the aspirin rooted cuttings than to standard plants.Both had nice root systems. I also have used rooting hormone.(walmart sells rooting hormone for under $7).It's just personal preferance as to wich rooting compound you wish to use.

just a quick little tid bit, when trimming away dead leaf like this, clean your cutting utensil with 99% isopropyl prior to cutting, and when switching from one plant to another, happy harvests.
