  • I agree. It seems programs now are action packed full of as many jumps, combinations, spins and whatever else they can cram into it to gain points. The breath, the quiet beauty and timing seems to be lost along with the beauty.

  • It kind of works, but this program was such a masterpiece so perfectly choreographed to this piece of music. How I miss the days of interesting programs where the music actually has some relationship to what the skaters are doing on the ice instead of today's programs where it is just a distraction in the background. There will never be another Michelle, that's for sure - all before and after pale in volumes I cannot quantify.

  • I should be clear, choreographed so perfectly to the Rachmaninoff piece.

  • Thanks, davet103 for the nice words. I hope I can someday choregraph for someone :)

  • The sad thing is that you could do this to any of Michelle Kwan's program. Most of her programs were so generic that you could have played ANY music of the correct length and it would have worked!

  • That's true. Michelle Kwan is a beautiful skater. She is my favorite. :)

  • @RandyGla That's not true at all. The sole reason why a lot of people think Michelle does the same thing is because she's comfortable with countless genres of music and can perform them and enjoy them with the same level of excellence.
