Well I wouldn't necarily call it crawling backwards. She is just learning how to dig her feet into the floor to keep her from going backwards. I guess it's more of sliding backwards in the mini-push up position.

Thanks for sharing. My little one is 9 months old. She starting to get the hang of crawling, but keeps going backward for now. I'm not really worried, but I'll try this and see if it helps her along.

@Tarafina10Tango i would love to!she will be three in Oct. and when we were in mcdonalds the other day,she was playing with a 5 yr old and she spoke as good as she did. She is very social and loves to talk. I never tell her to be quiet or ignore her. I always listen to what she has to say.She loves when I read to her or we will sing in the car and she will sing all of the words. My sister had a baby in Aug. and he is 6mnths and she did everything I showed her and now he is crawling! <3

4 MONTHS IS NOT TO YOUNG!!! My baby started crawling at the end of 5 months and walking by 7 months REALLY now shes 2 and she talks so clear she can say what ever she wants!! really !! your baby can do whatever you want it to do as long as you show it in the correct way such as looking them in the eyes when you speak to them and moving your lips in a clear way so they can see ho to form the words with THERE mouth but you also have to show them what the word means as well maybe ....

show them the item while you while you say the word let them touch it put it in there mouth ex... and with crawling you have to make it fun put no pressure on your baby and show them in the correct way!!!! and they will crawl it is a natural thing for your baby to learn to crawl all you have to do is show them give them plenty or tummy time and a few other things... and they will crawl to me 4 months is a good time to start as long as there having fun and being safe.
