I made it off work work in time to go watch the landing in person, It was awesome to watch in person. Very cool to come home and re watch it on NASA TV.

Wow! I'll bet it went right over our house (in Palos Verdes). I had been watching the beautiful clouds and noticed this unusually broad white stripe and a few seconds later heard the boom boom. Too bad I didn't get out there a little sooner.
Unbelievable how the commentator is all wrong about the physics!
Hearing that boom doesn't indicate that the craft has decreased it's Mach number to <1. AT ALL!
