  • Anyone who compliments him likes homosexual feeling and will go to hell. Just remember what I have said when you're dead

  • @TheSillygoose101 LOL Your an Obese piece of shit:D

  • good for you bro!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Absolutely amazing speech. I would have liked to have thought that this would help homophobic religious people realise what their words do to young people and how they affect people young or old. But judging from the comments, some people still hold on to that nonsense written in the bible. Leviticus does state that it is an abomination but the bible also states that you cannot: eat pork, wear clothes of mixed fabrics such as polyester, wear gold, eat shellfish, get a tattoo or get a round hair

  • I used to be christian until I noticed logical fallacies and hypocrisies in the abrahamic religions, so I just gave it up and became agnostic atheist

  • LOL He's a fag:D

  • @TheSillygoose101 Exactly. Thats why he is so amazing.

  • @TheSillygoose101 you're not funny or cool, shut the fuck up you're ignorant piece of shit.

  • I'm atheist

  • @axeman1314 Same here, religion sucks to me

  • Bullies in schools are just kids who have not grown up yet - many of us bullied and were bullied. The reason why kids who are being encourged into a gay style are killing themselves is because the militant gay agenda is pushing kids to rebell from their society and family. These people have a vested interested in making as many gays as they can in school. If someone tells you your gay because of how you act or look you need to run. Homosexuality, was, is and will always be a sin.

  • Homosexuality will get better the futher a person rejects and rebells from God - Romans 1: 27-28 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind

  • Most religions suck. I'ma be Utilitarian. :D

  • Their bullies will spend eternity in Hell. No doubt in my mind about that.

  • this is sad how everytime there is a report of gay kids who commit suicde everyone is always ready to blame the christians...gimme a break

  • "Don't judge others is a very subtle, abstract instruction. Leviticus 20:13 ( "And if a man lie with mankind, as with womankind, both of them have committed abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.") on the other hand is a very direct instruction that leaves no room for interpretation. If you arent trying to kill homosexuals or legalize legislation that supports the killing of homosexuals, you aren't living by the bible.

  • It's sad how christians have convinced themselves that every one of these sad stories aren't 100% their fault.

  • @1ruroken Well, you see, there are "good christians" and "bad christians". Good ones don't force or impose their beliefs on others, or believe any one group of people are going to hell, or mask their racism or sexism with the bible, saying that it's 'all in the bible'. Bad christians do all those and more. Sadly, it seems that there is more bad than good christianity these days. =( You should look up "Thank God for dead soldiers"

  • @FlamingSilencer I'm flamiliar with the phrase. But how does not doing what it says in the bible make you a good christian, wouldn't that make you a bad christian in the eyes of god?

  • @1ruroken I don't get what you're saying.. Not doing what it says in the bible? God tells you not to judge others, for that is his job, and not yours.

Yes, you should try and bring people to Christianity, but if they don't want your help, don't try and force it on them. And if they don't want your opinions, don't give them. Hurting people is not what you're supposed to do..

  • @1ruroken If you do what's in the bible, and ask others for clarification, then you are good to go. But some people misinterpret the bible, or even worse, they will not give specific places in the bible in which they interpreted their message. Those guys give Christians a bad name. Oh, and "Judgement Day May 21, 2011" is a myth, because no one but God (not even Jesus) knows when he will come back to Earth. Same with 2012. Sometimes man can deceive more than pastors can preach.

  • @FlamingSilencer It's impossible to misinterpret Leviticus 20:13.

  • @FlamingSilencer exactly not all christians r bad and thts wht everyone thinks

  • @1ruroken It's not their fault! I'm gay, most of my friends are Christians, and the ones I've told still love me. It is absolutely underhanded and wrong for you to blame an entire relgious group for the mistreatment of gays! Mistreatment of gays and lesbians comes from people of all religions and no religion. It has nothing to do with any particular faith.

  • @Paatrikklives You aren't a Christian just because you say you are. You're a christian if you live by the bible, which says all gays should be killed. Your friends aren't christians. Judaism and Christianity started the whole anti-gay mood.

  • @1ruroken I frankly don't know if I'm a Christian, and I'm not trying particularly hard to be one. It would help if you took the Bible in context and from a hollistic historical perspective. The main purpose of those prescriptions in Leviticus was to show people how seriously one should take morality. The Ancient Jews usually didn't even follow most of the death sentences prescribed in Leviticus, and they certainly don't now. The purpose of those scriptures was to give people (continued)

  • @1ruroken the impression of a God who takes seriously how people act. Most Christians believe homosexuality is wrong, and most Jews believe it's not ideal (if I understand correctly). As a gay man, I agree that it's not ideal. I would rather be straight. I believe it's plain to see that heterosexuality is a better life. That said, I can't help my attractions. Most religious people understand this about gays and lesbians, and are not condemning of them. My Christian friends wish I (continued)

  • @1ruroken would live a heterosexual or chaste life, but they love me just the same. You should be more understanding of people who have a different opinion than you.

  • @Paatrikklives You're confused. Leviticus 20:13 says "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.". There is no opinion. Their is no interpretation. It is fact. Pretending that Christians only have to follow the parts of Gods law they want to follow because "they were ment for ancient hebrews" is an absurd rationalization. If you're not Christian, you sure think like one

  • @1ruroken No, you're confused. I know what the Bible says. No one who claims sola scriptura (as in everything in the Bible should be taken literally) is honest with themselves. I'm telling you that almost no one (not even the ancient Jews) followed those scriptures. They were written to show the kind of actions that will bring death (not always literal death) and life (not always literal life). You misunderstood what I said. I was telling you that THE ANCIENT HEBREWS DIDN'T EVEN TAKE (continued)

  • @1ruroken THOSE SCRIPUTES LITERALLY! I think like a Christian because I was raised as one, I was one for a long time, and even though I am now not a Christian, I still have a great deal of respect for the Bible. You're wrong in saying "There is no opinion. There is no interpretation. It is fact." Everything in the Bible is interpreted, and it always has been. Ask a knowledgeable rabbi or Christian clergy to explain it to you.

  • @Paatrikklives I read what you said about the hebrews not following that law. Proof? And "kill all homosexuals" can NOT be misinterpreted, despite what you have deluded yourself into believing.

  • Thank You! Powerful and Moving! We need more people like you in this country!

  • Thank you

  • Such a powerful speaker

  • This was so good. Thanks for this.

  • God Bless you Joel!

  • How very moving and how brave of this young man exposing himself to the world in order to help those young people who today are struggling with who they are - their feelings, their fears, and the embarrassment many feel when they first begin to discover who they really are. God made all of us - all of us in His image - we are all different, we all come from different backgrounds, but in the end, we all are God's children, Who HE loves. I just wish every young person could hear this man's story

  • Asher, Billy, Justin, Seth, Tyler, Raymond, Zach... God's little angels now gone. Tender hearted, loving youngsters that could have done great things in their lives. God Bless Them. And God Bless you Joel. Your bravery shines brightly through the ugliness and hatred that is rampant in our society.

  • What bravery for this councilman to tell his story and let everyone see his pain. People shouldn't have to go through this, it's unfortunate. I truly do hope that life gets better for everyone that has to endure this type of verbal abuse, the thoughts, the looks...anything. People that cannot accept others disgust me.
