@scienceatheism A mystery thats gone on for far too long, in my opinion. They should have answered at least one question by the end of the second season. At the end of the second season you should know at least a little more than what you know at the end of the first episode. They need to solve this and move on before it gets even more played out.

@Redsdelight but you have to understand the significance of red john. he is the reason why the dude is the way he is. first he has to get over the emotional pain before he can truly face red john. thats what they are probably doing. just look what they are trying to do. they are trying to hook him up with that psychic lady. meaning they want him to move on in his life before he faces his past demons.

@scienceatheism I understand the significance of Red John and that its his only reason for working there and all of that, and believe me, it's no knock on the show, but they could answer one question without damaging or even lessening his grief. My point is that they have to give something to keep it interesting so people continue to care. Monk was like that, it took a long time to answer, but like in the second season they answered who placed the bomb in Trudy's car. etc...

@Redsdelight i agree. but just think. some of the reason you keep watching is to find out at least 1 of many question about RJ. he is what makes jane, jane. and the writers of this show are building an extremely deep depth of character in both jane and RJ that makes it interesting. but your right dragging it out for 3 seasons almost now can be a bit frustrating. but thts what episodes like this r for. to remind u that there is ALWAYS tht possibility tht the next episode might uncover something
